As much as I LOVE this as a single- because of how clear of a hit it is- am I the only one that doesn't actually personally like the song? I mean it's cute and all but it's not something I want to repeat over and over or blast and dance to it, I don't know I feel like it's lacking something. Yup, it's great but the chorus is lacking. The prechorus is catchier than the actual chorus... This.

YES! Thank goodness they are choosing this over BFB. As much as I like BFB, it feels a little too risky and could've have gone either way. It would've been a shame to see the momentum TTWE built up be potentially wasted. I feel like if Britney were to actually promote her music through performances (which it seems like she won't anymore this era), a riskier choice like BFB could have been more viable but since not, she needs something like this to keep momentum going. I think IWG will be a hit regardless (how much will depend on a lot of things). BFB, not so much but I think it can be w/ the right amount of momentum. Maybe BFB can be single somewhere down the line but I think IWG is the best follow up to TTWE.

"Till The World Ends" Currently #1 Dance Song in The U.S.
New York, NY - Pop icon Britney Spears confirms that the summer-friendly, up-tempo “I Wanna Go” is the official third single from her platinum-certified Femme Fatale (Jive Records). “I Wanna Go” is produced by Shellback, Savan Kotecha and long-time collaborator Max Martin. Innovative director Chris Marrs Piliero has been tapped to direct the video.
“I Wanna Go” comes on the heels of her most recent No. 1 smash hits, “Hold It Against Me” and “Till The World Ends” which ranks #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Both songs are from Britney's critically acclaimed seventh album. Billboard also notes that “Till The World Ends” coupled with the remix featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha gives Spears a radio audience of 87 million in the U.S., which is “the highest weekly audience of her 12-and-a-half-year chart career.”
Britney’s Femme Fatale Tour with special guest Nicki Minaj, Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo kicks off June 16th in Sacramento, CA. Source: Britney.com

Brit is finally getting her summer smash with the most fitting song she could have ever recorded. I'll be surprised if this misses the top 5 on pop. The Hot 100 is a whole other story though.

My fav. Should do really well. Top 5 on Pop, Top 15 on Hot 100 (or can she send her third single into the Top 10 there for the first time in forever?).

Yup, it's great but the chorus is lacking. The prechorus is catchier than the actual chorus... This. I actually totally disagree with this. I think that second chorus (where it repeats and the beat kicks in) is total music euphoria. In fact, I think it's the exact reason why the song will be a smash hit.

I love every part of this song. I don't think there's a weak link at all.

Just heard this 'cos all the Brit fans are raving about it? and I am underwhelmed... sounds like a solid album track but it doesn't scream smash hit to me. Maybe a few more listens will do the trick.

This was immediately one of my favorites off the album. I honestly dont know I see this one performing now though. 3 similar uptempo songs in a row. At least BFB would have been a bit different. Hope it does as well as this anyway. I cant wait for the video.

I'm excited that this is the third single and that she is working with another director that she never has before! I have to say, I would have preferred Criminal or IO, just because I think she needs to do something different/edgy and slower tempo. I will hope against hope that they are saving that single choice for the fall, which is probably best anyway.
IWG is definitely a summer smash and I can't wait to see it tearing up the charts!

Yup, it's great but the chorus is lacking. The prechorus is catchier than the actual chorus... This. +2 - the chorus is good, but the highlight of the song is the pre-chorus. Brilliant. I hope BFB is still up for release - she can get a lot of mileage from this album if she wants to. If IWG performs similarly to IUSA, that's another era cut-short. Hoping it won't.

^I don't think there is really any mistaking the fact that Radar is what shit all over the Circus era and brought it to an early end. IUSA went top ten on pop and had a great amount of awareness.
I think a sure fire way to make something similar happen to FF is release BFB. I just don't see radio supporting it.

I disagree - there was a major drop-off in promotion after Womanizer/Circus, both of which benefited from the hype of the album release. There was awareness, but it didn't do much for the single. I'm not convinced anybody knew Radar was even released to be honest.

I think IWG is best capable of capitalizing off of TTWE's success, as opposed to BFB, and doing the same thing. I agree that I'm sure the general public doesn't even realize that Radar was released as a single, either time! :)

I really think this could go either way. I personally think it's lacking a little something and will burn quickly, but I hope it doesn't. It's the safest bet, that's for sure. I won't speculate on any singles further than BFB, because I think that's likely how the rest of the roll out will go.

Release this, then release BFB, then do a re-release. Or do a re-release after this and then go with BFB. You pick.
I'm only saying a re-release because after those two songs I don't see anything else being a hit.

I would rather just pretend that BFB isn't even on the album.
That's not to say I don't enjoy the song. I just don't think it is commercially viable.
