I find it really strange this is struggling so much. They're on an indie, so they really needed to release something more "spectacular" than this to do any damage. I also think the buzz they had has died down a little.

I'm so annoyed! There are no copies of the record anywhere near me. I could order it from amazon or I could just give in and get it off of iTunes....
decisions decisions....!!

It's slightly odd that 8/13 tracks start with "The". Seems very bland to me. Anyway, gonna listen to the album in a bit so I'll give fair judgement then.

If you take the word "The" out of the titles, does it seem less bland? Out of a few of them, yes. Ironically. xD It really doesn't matter, because it's about the music, but you think they'd be more creative that way.

I also think the buzz they had has died down a little. They're still distributed by RED, so they're on a indie in the sense that Switchfoot was during Hello Hurricane.

I finally found this!
In Boston though... That's fine. I've listened to it once. Need to listen again but there's clearly an ongoing theme for the entire album.

Extremely strange album. The Money Tree is awesome. Not sure about the rest of it.

Extremely strange album. The Money Tree is awesome. Not sure about the rest of it. Agreed. I listened to the album earlier this afternoon and throughout the first half of the album, my main thoughts were "WTF..... This is really deep stuff." As all Blue October fans know, Justin likes to write about the issues that he's gone through in his life as well as the good things like about his daughter. I thought "The End" from "Approaching Normal" sent enough chills down my spine, a few of these songs were even more frightening. Interesting that he decided to rap on a few of the tracks as well. It'll definitely take me a few more listens to get used to the album. Quite a few of the songs, especially in the second half are very well done.

I thought their last album was terrible, but this tops it. They really need to go back to the sound they had on "Foiled."

I've only listened to this new album once, but so far I don't like it as much as the others. Like I said before, there are some very questionable songs on there as well as some good ones. "Approaching Normal" had more variety on it than any other album, but I'll agree that "Foiled" and "History for Sale" were the best I've heard out of the four albums.
