Natalie Cole said she hated "Miss You Like Crazy" because she felt that was her "sellout" song. No, Natalie. That was "Pink Cadillac".

Well i dont know if SHE hates it, but she certainly should, (and yes this is just me throwing shade) but i cant get into Christina Aguilera's "Back To Basics" album or any of those songs. Aint no other man seems to be all over the place to me and "Candy Man" is horrible. Even more so to me than the whole Bionic album. Is this just me?

Someone mentioned when the thread first started that Heart disliked their 80s hits (they were referring to the "Heart," "Bad Animals" and "Brigade" song. Interestingly, when Swiffer started using "What about Love?" as one of the songs, Ann Wilson said they had a change of, err, heart, about those songs and they were also glad that the commercials were being their music to a whole generation of new fans. This doesn't surprise me - a classic rock group like Heart, which wrote their songs, and then had even bigger success with "corporate rock" songs kind of had to diss them to get back to cool. I believe in retrospect, Heart views that those hits extended their careers by 20+ years. I doubt they would've had a Top 10 album in 2010 and Top 25 in 2012 without that eight year span of hits.

It might be me becoming a fan after her death, but I don't find much of Aaliyah's material weak, except that leaked Lisa Stansfield sampling song.

'N Sync's Lance Bass just said in an interview that he hates Merry Christmas: Happy Holidays. He said he was against that song being a single.

I saw in an interview a few weeks ago that Ryan Tedder has a love/hate relationship with "Apologize". Funny enough as we're discussing this thread he also said he thinks all artists have that sort of relationship with their biggest hits.

Kings Of Leon absolutely hated there hit "Use Somebody" as their lead singer stated that it was way overplayed on the radio & the song started irritating him from getting played so much.

Chaka Khan shockingly does not like "I Feel For You", she stated on her latest "Being" biography on Centric. i always thought that song was before its time with it's Hip Hop and sample influences . not really the style of music she has done through most of her career.

I wonder what hits Madonna didn't care for. This Used To Be My Playground, and Into The Groove too. For the latter, she said that the lyrics were silly, and she didn't get why people connected with the song so much (it's her biggest hit in the UK). I don't think she's still fond of the song, True Blue either since that song is all about her first ex-husband, Sean Penn.

I hate that about "Into the Groove." It's her best song whether she thinks so or not. (Though I wonder how much she really dislikes it since she still performs it.)
Her hating "This Used to Be My Playground" makes sense, given that it hasn't appeared on any of her Greatest Hits albums after its release, despite being a much bigger hit than a lot of songs that were included. I like "Playground," but it's not one of my favorites.
