I can't find anything online to verify, but word on the street is that the FCC is investigating ClearChannel, regarding how legit they are with their licensing. If they decide no, some 2,500 stations could lose their licensing and the evil empire could be squashed like a bug! Again, don't have all the details right now cause I don't have an official source for this.

There is a God after all!!!
Like you said, it's not official, but anything remotely troubling Clear Channel is great news.

...but anything remotely troubling Clear Channel is great news. www.radioandrecords.com/Subscribers/TodaysNews/homepage.htmClear Channel Faces Fine For NY Tower Violation The company was fined $10,000 by the FCC for failing to keep the tower used by WOUR-FM/Utica, NY properly painted. While Clear Channel contended a separate agreement it has with the New York State Broadcasters Safety Association, which provides for that group to conduct inspections of WOUR's tower, nullifies the need for FCC inspections, the commission ruled that the NYSBA didn't supercede the commission's authority to conduct a safety inspection. Such an arrangement is allowed under the FCC's rules. In this case, the visit by an FCC field agent was part of an FCC-wide tower safety program. Clear Channel has 30 days to pay the fine.

The only stations who would lose a license in an investigation most likely are those who are not licensed properly. If any such exist. I highly doubt anyone's losing any licenses anytime soon.
