Taylor Dayne's brand new single, "Floor On Fire" combines the iconic singer's big voice and the latest sounds to form an explosive blend. The song was written by Taylor Dayne in conjunction with Swedish songwriters Niclas Kings and Ivar Lisinski as well as Tania Doko from Australia. Hit producers such as The Thin Red Men, Marc Lime & K-Bastian or Zoned Out chipped in perfect mixes especially suitable for the European, British and international audiences.
The single contains a total of eight different versions and will be released worldwide in all online stores on June 22nd.

this is a really catch, current sounding produced track. but I would never know this was Taylor Dayne's vocals. they sound filtered/processed. and i know she can still sing. Has Britney (no, Cher originally) started a dance revolution?

The chorus is catchy enough (although it's no "On The Floor") which I think is what the song wishes it could be.
The problem is that Taylor's voice sounds overprocessed (as someone had mentioned above), it might as well be Kim Zolciac singing! (I mean really, Kim could have done this).
We've come to expect a VERY high vocal standard from Taylor, and this song does not deliver in that regard.

^That's the one thing it's missing. Taylor's big notes. That was like the first thing I noticed. This could be a track by Kylie Minogue or somebody like that.
Not dissing Kylie, but she has a pretty limited vocal range.

In good news, I paid $3.99 on itunes for 8 versions. According to Taylor's tweet, this is the wrong price. itunes f*cked up. I see remix EPs with 8 (or more) tracks at that price point sometimes. |
