I think they were saying Maroon 5 is this generation's Queen (the band), and that Aguilera is more talented than Prince/Whitney/Madonna combined. Surely a joke all around. I don't think even Christina Aguilera thinks she's more talented than any of those people (she may be a better singer than some, but not overall more talented). And Maroon 5 is not Queen.

Indeed a joke all around, reinfeld. Whatever that poster's smoking, I hope there's enough to go around for all of us at Pulse. To even put her in the same mention as Prince and Madonna- two of the most revered artists/entertainers- and even Whitney Houston at her peak, vocally- too too much.

Back to Hot 100- if I'm counting correctly, "I Wanna Go" should become Britney Spears' 22nd top 50 hit on the Hot 100 (21st top 40)- this counts her one-week credit for "S&M."

I think it's a bit silly to say the achievement is diminished because of the two singers being on a top-rated show. If you use any similar argument you could say 'x song' is only doing well because it has 100 million AI or was performed on Dancing With the Stars etc. At the end of the day people went out of their way to buy the song because they wanted to, if the demand isn't there regardless of the big platform of 'The Voice' a song isn't going to sell if people don't want to buy it.

If it were released with no tie-in to the program- or if it were performed by an act that was not a coach on the show- would it have sold as much? Can't say for sure one way or the other. But, there's no doubt the platform helped- and that the collaboration more than likely would not have happened without the show. That's all. :)

All obvious points, but are they really relevant? If a song is getting great exposure with 150 million AI just cause it's a new Katy Perry single or a Dancing With the Stars, The Voice, American Idol etc performance cause they got the proper hook-ups does that mean a song's achievements are lessened because they happened to get a bigger platform than the average song by joe schmo? The iTunes buyers paid the same price as the LMFAO - Part Rock Anthem or Nicki Minaj - Superbass buyers did so in the end it's all turns and roundabouts really

Pitbull's 'Give Me Everything' Powers to No. 1 on Hot 100

Pitbull unleashes his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (June 30) on Billboard.com, as "Give Me Everything," featuring Ne-Yo, AfroJack and Nayer, rises 2-1.

"Give" dips by 7% in digital sales to 187,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, dropping 3-4 on Digital Songs. On Radio Songs, however, the track holds at No. 2 with a 6% uptick to 147 million in all-format audience, according to Nielsen BDS.

Pitbull claims his first Hot 100 leader seven years, two months and two weeks since first he first debuted, with "Culo," featuring Lil Jon, the week of April 24, 2004. The Miami rapper's journey to his first Hot 100 No. 1 is the longest for a solo male since Lil Wayne waited eight years, nine months and three weeks between his first chart visit in 1999 and the five-week topper "Lollipop," featuring Static Major, 2008.

AfroJack and Nayer also celebrate their first trips to the Hot 100 summit, while Ne-Yo takes up his second residence in the chart's penthouse, after reigning with debut entry "So Sick" in 2006.

The coronation of "Give" ends a 19-week Hot 100 reign by lead female artists - the second-longest in the chart's history - as Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" drops to No. 2 after seven weeks on top (the longest stay at the Hot 100's apex this year). "Deep" increases by 3% in airplay to 158 million audience impressions, spending a fifth week atop Radio Songs, but slides by 9% in downloads to 170,000, and holding at No. 5 on Digital Songs.

The songs at Nos. 3 and 4 both hold their positions on the Hot 100, although each register gains.

LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, remains at No. 3, lifting 6-4 on Radio Songs (102 million, up 20%) and bulleting at No. 3 on Digital Songs (212,000, up 1%).

Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" spends a second week at No. 4 (after blasting 31-4 last week), claiming the Hot 100's Airplay Gainer award. On Radio Songs, the track charges 21-11 (63 million, up 42%). "Friday" holds atop Digital Songs for a second frame, but with a 4% decrease to 226,000 downloads sold. The song had zoomed 28-1 on Digital Songs last week following the June 13 premiere of its star-studded video, whose guests include Rebecca Black.

Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" jumps 8-5 on the Hot 100, passing Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" (6-6) and Perry's former five-week No. 1 "E.T," featuring Kanye West (5-7).

Following the song's unveiling in a live performance on last Tuesday's (June 21) episode of NBC's "The Voice," Maroon 5, led by series coach Adam Levine, and featured artist and fellow "Voice" coach Christina Aguilera, soar onto the Hot 100 at No. 8 with "Moves Like Jagger." The cut starts at No. 2 on Digital Songs (213,000). Aguilera had last ranked in the Hot 100's top 10 with "Keeps Gettin' Better" (No. 7) in 2008 and Maroon had last reached the top tier with the three-week No. 1 "Makes Me Wonder" in 2007.

Bruno Mars' "The Lazy Song" holds at No. 9 on the Hot 100, and Lil Wayne rounds out the top 10 with a 13-10 advance for "How to Love." The latter song, which roars 30-17 on Radio Songs (51 million, up 35%), becomes Weezy's 16th Hot 100 top 10, inching him closer to Jay-Z and Ludacris' record for most top 10s (17 each) among rappers.

Britney Spears claims the Hot 100's greatest positional gain, as "I Wanna Go" blasts 89-29 with Digital Gainer honors. The third single from "Femme Fatale" re-enters Digital Songs at No. 27 (67,000, up 282%) following the June 21 premiere of its video.

As two of the coaches from "The Voice" sing on the Hot 100's top new entry, four other songs from contestants on the series debut: Javier Colon ("Fix You," No. 52); Dia Frampton ("Losing My Religion," No. 54); Vicci Martinez ("Dog Days Are Over," No. 68); and, Xenia ("The Man Who Can't Be Moved," No. 92).

"The Voice" wraps its first season - and crowns its inaugural champion - tonight.

All charts, including the Hot 100, Digital Songs and Radio Songs, will be refreshed tomorrow on Billboard.com.

In other positive news
Pitbull's album sold the same amount that Bruno sold in his debut.
Pitbull, lands at #7 (55,000) but Bruno debuted at 3 because there wasnt hard competition at that time...
So I think this numbers are great for pitbull because he had never debuted this high. and if he keeps promoting and if he keeps releasing the right singles, his album might be platinum someday like Bruno's album.. So never say never
