Also, Gaga moves ahead of Katy and should be T10 by the time I wake up. Cobra Starship and Adele are both look like decent bets for this week.

Does anyone know if #41 is the highest the new Florence + The Machine single has gotten or has it been higher, I didn't even knew they had released it to itunes already Not sure if it went higher than that (I would guess no), but it came out on Tuesday--I don't think it was available until later in the day, since the links posted on the video description for it didn't work until later in the evening. Is aaliyah making any impact? There's a notificastion on her videos and a facebook group to take TA to # on itunes. is this for any reason? just released to itunes? anniversary of her death? It's the tenth anniversary of her death, yes.

I certainly didn't expect the Pistol Annies to make the degree of splash they have with their debut single here.
"Hell On Heels" hasn't even made the Top 40 of the Hot Country Songs chart..............and yet, here we are. An extraordinary impressive debut............especially since it rivals the digital peak placement of Miranda Lambert's three biggest hits to date.
*
Much less surprisingly, "God Gave Me You" has reached the Top 25. I see quite a bit of potential for this to eventually crossover and become an Adult Contemporary smash too, since Shelton's voice is hardly twangy whatsoever in this song and, musically, it just sounds like every other generic, glossy power ballad on the Adult Top 40 lately.
Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

Guetta/Hudson's collab is doing really well internationally. It's catchy; maybe she can be the new Kelly Rowland, turning to dance now that her R&B career is flickering. Just from rumors, didn't Jennifer originally hand in dance-oriented material for her second album that was rejected by the label? Instead, they take her mediocre material, remix it, and ship it to the clubs (where it does moderately well). I agree that she should be able to do both though, but I want to hear that VOICE being used. The Guetta song, while undeniably catchy, doesn't showcase her voice in the best way. I still like it though.

There's a bunch of catalog titles in the top 100 right now...Mambo #5 at 90, Against All Odds at 86, Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics) at 82, She Talks to Angels at 78, I Kissed a Girl at 77, Footloose at 60, Eye of the Tiger at 50...and others.
I think there are some $.69 collections, which would be where these are all coming from. (Including one comprised of "one hit wonders")

I'd LOVE to see You And I and Someone Like You at #1 and #2 after the VMAs. Don't care what order.

I just hope Lady Gagma will hit the Top 5. Her album hasn't been out 6 months and she's already about to have a 4th top 10 hit. Get it bitch! One hit per month.

I have a feeling that if Adele reaches #1 on iTunes with SLY after the VMAs, she'll stay there for awhile.

It's a shame Rihanna isn't taking advantage of the VMA's because Cheers won't get a boost. Looks like it has potential for #1.

An iTunes e-mail touted 500 songs at 69 cents, so lots of catalog titles on sale.
