If it's paused, then what is the problem? Can't you just open your phone and change it to whatever you want without anything playing until then? If it's the most recent song, then doesn't that mean you have to play "A a a a a a..." before finishing listening to music every single time? I just don't get the need for this. And if it was so necessary, why don't people just get something blank themselves? It's not like it's difficult to get a blank song onto your phone for free. It's actually genius. This Samir guy has convinced people to pay money to buy a blank space and guess who gets the profits? Oh that's not the part I'm questioning. Savvy business people exploit people all of the time. I'm just so confused as to how so many people are falling for it when I didn't know this was any sort of issue for anyone. |

It takes a while ten to twenty minutes to download Audacity for free, create a blank 30 second song and add it to your iPhone via iTunes. I get the idea but it's a waste of $1.29. I also never knew it was that big of a deal. Just pause it as soon as it comes on. Unless you were listening to Cupcakke I can't imagine it being that big of a deal, or people being able to recognise the song from the first few seconds before you pause it

If that were true then the remix would be discounted as well to ensure it keeps number one but it’s not, so clearly he is fine with losing number 1 |

Discounting is not cheating. People aren't just going to buy it because it is cheaper. "Wow, this song is honestly terrible, but it's $0.69 so why not!". It's for people who think "I like this song but I don't think I would spend $1.29 on it", $0.69 seems more attractive and not as much of a 'waste' of money (not that I consider it a waste, that is just the best way I can think of describing it). It may also be for people with gift cards, since they don't have to spend as much. However, it is not cheating. Just like how performing it on a big award show isnt cheating, either. Going out and buying 100,000 copies of it, yeah, cheating. Setting up computers to constantly stream it. Cheating. Discounting. Not cheating
