Hmmm is Mr Saxobeat gonna go anywhere? Its airplay has somewhat stalled this week.

Britney has another nice radio hit from this album. IWG has already outpaced Amy from Circus, correct? Yes. AI for IUSA was around 52M. This already has passed that and outpeaked IUSA on Hot 100 as well. This definitely is the first time that 3 Britney singles have done exceptionally well

A number of her songs are expected to show sales increases as well. Industry sources suggest that of all her songs, "Rehab" sold the most last week, with sales estimates for it around 30,000 downloads. That might be enough for the song to re-enter the Digital Songs chart. We'll know for sure on Wednesday when SoundScan's sales data is released.
Her next biggest sellers look to be "You Know I'm No Good" (around 15,000), "Back to Black" (over 10,000), "Valerie" (10,000) and "Tears Dry On Their Own" (perhaps 5,000).
Combined, all of her available songs last week sold an estimated 100,000 downloads. If that number holds, it will represent a whopping 1,800% gain from what her songs sold the week previous: 5,000 according to SoundScan.
Radio airplay for "Rehab" has additionally surged. On Saturday it received 173 plays on 119 stations (of the more than 1,200 stations monitored for the Billboard Hot 100), according to Nielsen BDS. The spins translated to a one-day audience of 1.4 million, with pop, AC, alternative, triple A and R&B formats all playing the song. How vastly was airplay up for "Rehab" Saturday? By comparison, on Friday, it had been played a mere five times on a total of five stations, a single-digit sum in line with its recent airplay. After Saturday's spike, airplay for "Rehab" was back down sharply yesterday (although still significantly higher than before her death) to 38 plays on 30 stations, which amounted to 171,000 in audience.

POP SONGS No. 34 "Pumped Up Kicks" Foster The People
Fantastic!
Otis Redding hasn't reached top 40 since 1969. As 'Otis' is going to debut in Hot 100 this week I wonder if we have a record here?

Just noticed that CKB isn't part of the Mediabase update. I see it's peaked at pop (down 818 spins in the latest update), so I suppose it has peaked in airplay.

Dance Club Songs Hot Shot Debut No. 37 "California King Bed" Rihanna I bet this goes #1 here... You would think, but the remix package is just terrible. Talked to many DJ's and some are hard-pressed with enjoying any of the mixes. Maybe if the label could have at least picked a remixer to turn this lovely ballad into the anthem it deserves to be. (which they certainly have for past-ballads "Unfaithful" and "Take A Bow") I'm curious to see if this fails to hit the top spot.

Impressive for Miss Spears. I can't believe how successful her singles are this era and she's not even promoting them.

She is promoting more with this album but in comparison to Rihanna, Gaga etc she does do the promo rounds less frequently.
I'm hoping "I Wanna Go" jumps into the top ten this week. If it doesn't make it though, it should still be around #11 or so

Her fans always seem to claim that she doesn't promote because she's not on every TV show performing or doing interviews (as if those are the only ways to promote). Less promo than Gaga etc. doesn't equal no promo.

She promotes, I think fanatic knows he was exaggerating. But in terms of traditional TV promo, she generally does less than your typical pop act
Still, point of the story is, "I Wanna Go" is performing very well indeed :)

Other popstars perform or do interviews to help promote their singles through out the whole era, her promotion on the other hand is centered during the first week of release of her albums and that's it. A tour doesn't really help anyone's single to climb up the charts.

Regarding the record Otis Redding is about to smash:
The gap of 42 years between two Top 40 hits beats the previous one by The Contours (Do You Love Me, 1962 – Do You Love Me, 1988) by 16 years. This is huge news.
If I'm not mistaken, which is always possible.

I hope Pumped Up Kicks will go all the way on the top 20 or even top 10 in the succeeding weeks, I never thought this song would breakthrough but it's a refreshing surprise

You seem such an intelligent poster, and I know this is your way of (as usual) getting a sly dig at Britney (or playing down her success as usual) but this is flat out ridiculous. Performing two songs on TV once and having a video is not a valid attempt at promotion, in comparison to Rihanna, Beyonce, Gaga heck even the likes of J Lo, and you know it. The song is doing fantastic. It's not going to kill you (or look as though you like her) to say it.

So are we assuming that "Party Rock Anthem" stays on top for a 4th week?

Erm, no, devil, it was not an attempt at any sort of dig. Like someone saiud, just because her promotion is not like that of a Rihganna or Gaga doesn't mean she doesn't promote. And, one TV show" Was she not also on Jimmy Kimmel, at the least?
I never said the single was not doing well. I had said I saw it doing at least as well as the third single from "Circus," and I'm not surprised that it's farted even better, given that the preceding single reached her highest weekly BDS audience to date. Ands I've actually said I like "I Wanna Go"- it's another piece of inconsequential, robotic music- but it's fun and I enjoy it. And it's the best video of the album's three thus far.

I can't believe Super Bass is still gaining so much!
I wonder if LMFAO will actually hit #1 on the BDS chart, considering Pitbull has additional Latin airplay there.
Also it's frustrating how little effort Adele's label is putting into a new single. Momentum only lasts so long, strike while the iron is hot!
