This was Amy's third single, released as a double a side with "You Sent Me Flying" in 2004. It peaked at #60 in the UK. It uses the same sample of "Apache" as Nas' "Make You Look" from God's Son a year earlier. Both songs were produced by Salaam Remi. Frank is a great album, but it's definitely a case where I think all the best songs were released as singles. Love this.
I saw the video on TV for the first time today.

That's probably why the production on this & "F- Me Pumps" feels so familiar to me because his productions for Nas's "God Son" were in a similar vein.
Was her whole debut album produced by Salaam Remi?

No she worked with a bunch of different producers for Frank but Salaam Remi produced a handful of the tracks. "In My Bed" is a perfect example of her ability to sound classic and a contemporary of her influences while simultaneously sounding modern. Good song.

One of my very favorite songs by her, could listen to over and over again (and have. . .). Frank in general is such a good album, ugh.

Another brilliant song from Frank. Frank is such a wonderful, witty album that does not rely on ostentatious vocal acrobatics, but instead refined, intuitive sensibilities. The end of In My Bed is a perfect example of an artist laying it all out there.

I've been playing this one a lot lately. I just love the lyrics and her delivery of them. Of course, the production is great as well. I might give a nod to the CJ Remix as my favorite version. I go back and forth.
