So Kelly is a shoo-in for #2? She is a shoo-in for geting fired from her label. No. And it's "getting". Her label is more worried about the long run than so open big, then fall flat.

Well we'll see if Kelly will hold up in the long run. If she can barely get enough promo for the launch of the album, I'm really interested what her label plans to do in the coming months.

They just booked whatever they could. Plus she has the X-Factor UK job, so that has a lot to do with it. She had decent/consistent numbers despite the lack of major promo. I have no doubt she would have exceeded expectations if she had GaGa's or Beyonce's promo schedule.

Strong start for Adele but she seems to get most of her numbers in HDD's Monday update.

Wonder if SoundScan's numbers for Back to Black will be close with HITS this week, or again finish notably higher.

Wow what caused Colbie's increase?
Go Eric Church, opening with larger than average and expected numbers. Kelly opened solidly too. I'm wondering if HITS possibly underestimated Amy's sales this week or if they'll look the same on Billboard too.
Well I knew Selena Gomez & The Scene's album was going to fall out of the top 10, but that doesn't make me happy about it.

76k is not bad for Kelly at all, let's see if she can get some consistency and sell at least 500k :) Amy's albums selling good as expected and nice to see Beyoncé still in the Top5 selling consistently well each week

Why isn't Pink Friday selling more with such a huge hit? Is the deluxe edition not in stock or is the higher price off-putting potential buyers?

Why isn't Pink Friday selling more with such a huge hit? Is the deluxe edition not in stock or is the higher price off-putting potential buyers? The combination of a higher price, lesser availability, and probably just confusion over the fact that they're a multiple versions & the song isn't on one of them is driving people to just buy the mp3 over purchasing the album.

I'm dead at Recovery selling more than Femme Fatal. Pretty crazy. Also outselling Loud and F.A.M.E. I think with 2 big country singles & the Holiday season, Scotty can/will go platinum.

Kelly's sales are decent. But elsewhere it's totally the opposite.
For example in the UK she's been having hit singles but her album success is in decline:
Simply Deep #1 Ms. Kelly #23 Here I Am failed to chart

Ok, so let's be honest, this upcoming week is boring.
What are people's guesses about Kanye and Jay-Z's "WTT" 1st week sales?
I'm going with 350k 1st week, then 225k second week (i'm calling the smaller drop due to the fact that it will be available in normal retailers after the 1st week).
