YES! Moves Like Jagger enters AT40 finally, but at #30, I hope it takes a big leap to the Top 20 next week.
The long running Dynamite by Taio Cruz moves back up from #37 to #32 - will it ever die after 60 weeks or become an In Da Club wannabe or something like that? The 2004 song by Usher called Yeah! could have been a 60 week or more AT40 song if it wasn't removed in November 2004 with that one time chart purge.
Also: Does Ryan Seacrest nowadays have to take a vacation every other week from AT40? What if Ryan goes on vacation from AT40 for a month? What we need is a reunion of past AT40 guest hosts from the Casey Kasem years! Like Mark Elliott, David Perry, Charlie Van Dyke, Gary Owens, Ed McMann, Joe Cipriano, and maybe a post stroke voiced Dick Clark (I wouldn't throw in Shadoe Stevens, Debbie Gibson, Hall and Oates, and/or Donny Osmond for this one time AT40 guest host jam, and sorry, Mike Kasem, since you got your own countdown show starting this fall, you're out of this!)

And speaking of songs that won't die, "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" also moves back up five notches, from 38-33. This occurs as Enrique's followup, "Dirty Dancer", falls off the countdown. Another interesting occurrence; Rihanna and J. Lo both have hits situated back to back, and right next to one another to boot.

22 26 (09) Rihanna - California King Bed 23 25 (25) Rihanna - S&M 27 24 (04) Jennifer Lopez featuring Lil' Wayne - I'm Into You 19 23 (23) Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull - On The Floor
What a strange occurance...
Thank God MLJ debuted. I was getting tired of the Xtina fans claiming shenanigans becuase it wasn't on the AT40 yet, even though people were trying to reason with them that chart is behind so it was most likely going to debut this week or next.

Go Dynamite! <3 Don't just break the record, shatter it into a million tiny pieces and then melt them to make a nice glass #1 trophy for yourself. :)

I heard Dynamite on the radio 2x yesterday and 1x today. All on different stations. Each time I got really excited. Sounds as fresh as ever, it deserves to stay on however long it wants to. :kii:

Well most recurrents keep losing spins gradually ever week; such as a few hundred or so. However Dynamite sees gains in spins plenty of times, and when it does lose spins it's usually smaller than usual. Like this week: 32 36 061 TAIO CRUZ Dynamite 2125 2126 -1 12.970 *5 MIL* It's hard for it to fall off when it loses a single spin between weeks when it's that old. It's not AT40's fault. It's radio's fault for refusing to let go of the song.

I just listened to this weekend's show and the guest hosts were really fun to listen too and they actually talked about the songs they were playing, while endorsing their Glee 3D movie at every opportunity....they also cracked jokes on why Ryan wasn't there. It was a good show...and, as predicted...lots of HOT chart movement action...especially for a GUEST HOSTED AT40 show...
Okay guys/gals....if you want to preview next week's show to see how your favorites hits are doing coast to coast...see my predicted chart below...it should answer all of your questions above:
Dynamite is expected to stay on for at least another 4 weeks: 32-35-36-34-33.... This would take its AT40 chart run to 61 weeks by 11 Sep 11 weekend show.
Expect a high debut for Pitbull f/ Marc Anthony.
Also, the "song of the summer" will debut, Pumped up Kicks....NBC Nightly News that title to the song on last night's show.
Rihanna's California King Bed should fall out of the survey from #26. If that doesn't happen, expect Hello to drop. Either way...we will see three debuts next week.
That also means we will say goodbye to two long running songs...Perfect and Stars are expected to bow out next weekend.

Didn't like the guest hosts much this week. Too much endorsing of their movie definitely.
Was surprised to see Coldplay debut. It only debuted in the Mediabase Top 40 last week, at #39, whereas 'Rain Over Me' and 'Pumped Up Kicks,' for example, debuted two weeks ago, at #25 and #37.
Awesome to hear JT, Kid Rock and Gaga in the optional extra places. Don't care for any of the dropouts leaving.
I expected Katy to be #1 this week and LMFAO to miss the top spot. Usually AT40 is 2-3 weeks behind, but this puts them 3 weeks behind. Plus, it's not like LMFAO was number one until Saturday, Katy took over on Wednesday or Thursday if I remember correctly.
Funny to see double Rihanna and double J.Lo, two double plays in a row. Has that happened before? Not that I recall.
The first song my station played after the end of the show was 'Last Friday Night.' They do this regularly. It's sad how little attention the pay to what goes on in syndicated programming.

Also: Does Ryan Seacrest nowadays have to take a vacation every other week from AT40? He and the American Idol judges have been on tour this summer. It's easier to have a guest host then for him to do both. Here are the audition cities: St. Louis, Missouri June 28, 2011 Portland, Oregon July 2, 2011 San Diego, California July 8, 2011 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania July 15, 2011 North Charleston, South Carolina July 22, 2011 Denver, Colorado July 29, 2011 Houston, Texas August 26, 2011

When I compiled this week's chart awhile back...LMFAO was only 30 spins higher than Katy...maybe I should publish that on my predicted charts. I thought Rain would debut too...but that part of the countdown is really hard to nail down....too many songs separated by just a few spins. It should explode onto the survey next week, but my crystal ball is telling me it may not peak any higher than #22 or 23 and then start falling... By the way...I used data from the 27 Jul 11 mediabase update for this weekends show...hope this helps...

Only 4 songs are in the same position as last week. That's way down. And only #5 stayed put in the top 10. Speaking of the top 10, we have a couple of "Wanna Go" songs back to back. The guest hosts were good; the best guest hosting of the past month, LOL. Maybe Ryan should open The Ryan Seacrest School of Broadcasting. That whole Glee cast is way too old to be playing high school kids. In fact, Kevin is 23 and Amber is 25. Ryan won't let us miss him due to the commercial embeds. They mentioned the robotic voice lady and I'm surprised that we haven't. I would miss her if she disappeared. How crazy is that. Look at segment #'s 33 thru 31. Wins prize for most ancient EVER. Here's an exercise in futility: vote feverishly for the top 40 songs at at40.com, and phone in your fan questions to a pre-recorded show.

Julianne is still filming Rock of Ages (I saw her on Friday) so he's probably still in Florida. ROA wraps on Wednesday.

That whole Glee cast is way too old to be playing high school kids. In fact, Kevin is 23 and Amber is 25. That's been going on in TV and movies for years. I think ONJ was 28 or 29 when she filmed "Grease." NONE of those characters looked their age. But the Glee cast is a little easier to accept.
