George Burns had the record for all singles until this week and Tony Bennett broke that. Pretty safe bet he would get the albums record too

I wonder if blink-182 will have an interesting week? I'm hoping for 200k but I have no idea.
Probably around 130-150k.

^And we know that one label's predictions are like the bible. (just joshin') Blink-182's commercial appeal isn't what it once was, so I'd be surprised if it got near 200K.

Great sales last year, hopefully there'll be a slight increase despite of that.

Wow how did Mumford get a huge increase? Congrats to Tony.... still stunned at Adele's longevity in the top 3! New releases come and go and Adele remains!

SLY doing wonders for Adele. They really timed it just perfectly.
Hopefully Demi will be able to hit 100K on soundscan. Solid numbers for Gavin considering he hasn't had a substantial hit in quite some time.

Still amazed at how well Demi does, considering I have literally never heard a single person even mention her name or hear any of her songs anywhere other than the internet. If I didn't come to this forum I would not have any idea she existed.
Congrats to Tony!
And Adele might be #2 with Soundscan...

I am assuming that she just has an extremely young fan base. My friends are all in the 25-35 age range, and are aware of the tween/post-tween stars like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, and even Selena Gomez, but "Demi Lovato" is not a name that I've ever heard them mention or listen to.

I don't think so. If her recent shows in NYC and LA are any indication, her fanbase is more in the older teenage/young adult range.
If you look at the audiences of those you listed (minus Miley), you see more young ones, such as tweens.

Selena get's way more coverage and radio play and yet Demi seems to be the one with the bigger fan base. I just hope Demi get's some radio hit's to sustain the album. Great numbers for Tony! And Adele :)

Don't know why Opeth are missing from HITS' chart. They'll make the Top 30 easily.

I guess I misphrased that a bit -- I'm not saying "extremely young" as in 8 year olds, I'm saying "extremely" as in 95% or so are in a young (under 25) bracket.
Miley and Selena both had some adult pop crossover hits that have made them more well-known to an older (over 25) audience, while Justin/Jonas reached a level of pop cultural awareness due to being teen heartthrobs (I'm realizing I actually don't even know any Jonas Brothers songs either).
Seems like Demi has not had either of those scenarios occur (maybe Skyscraper will do that?) so while it appears she has the same size 'core' audience, she has very little awareness outside of that core.

That's fair, since she has not achieved their levels of success musically.
