This was originally on Jill's debut album. She performed it in August 2001 at her concert in Washington, D.C. and that version was featured on her live album released later that year. The live version is FLAWLESS. Definitely my favorite Jill Scott song. She slays the hell out of this song to this day.

Her voice is so gorgeous, recorded or live this song is great... hasn't seemed to age for me at all.

KKBT 100.3 The Beat used to play the heck out of He Loves Me(Lyzel in E Flat) the album version and all of her other hits from her first album. She has a very beautiful voice and she's still making feel good music instead of copping out and going to the techno sound.
