Why's it funny? Unless you deliberately troll the forum (which you do & I've reported your post for that reason), it's actually kind of disappointing for an Avril fan.

We really don't know what's been going on guys. There have been no talks of the label being disappointed with the record. Considering L.A Reid just did some major employment changes to Epic Records, maybe that's where the delay is now coming from. Sony Music Japan said Spring 2013 months ago, so for all we know, that was the ideal date and there isn't even an issue right now.

The fact she's in the studio working on a self-written song, doesn't make me too nervous. I would be nervous if they were still hooking her up with new producers like Ciara is currently experiencing.

Epic is undergoing changes right now since L.A. Reid fired the dead weight, which were the primary cause behind their roster performing poorly/not releasing material. I'm sure Epic has a plan for 2013!

David H. tweets too... he said he is in the studio working with her. Porbably THAT song. She tweeting saying the song is coming VERY soon seems like they have defined the period for the release (and i think it will be March-May).

Sony is restructuring everything. Music, cinema, eletronics, playstation, etc. They are cutting 20% of its workforce and etc. So EPIC Records, as part of Sony Music, is also doing this stuff.

And if im not blind, with the back of r&b and hip hop in the music scene, i have no doubt that Dj Nasty and The Runners will make the album.

DJ Nasty (google him if you dont know who he is) and the runners. They've tweeted about working with avril in the middle of last year.
Actually "the runners" we know since the end of 2011.


And the last rumor about the album is that it will be release in march and 2 songs with this Dj Nasty will be included.

Actually, if the songs "weren't good enough" then they wouldn't have invested more time + money to put her back into the studio with them. If they didn't like what they were doing, they would have suggested and set-up studio time with another producer. They obviously liked whatever they came up with, and maybe want a couple more great songs from the collaboration on the record.

Like a lot of artists, sometimes over a 100 songs are written for a record. You only pick the best of the best to be included on the final product. Maybe she got 2 amazing songs from their collaboration, and her label wants another couple songs that are amazing.

The thing about Avril is that she wants to be involved in every aspect of her albums (progressively more-so as she's gotten older). Yes, this record could have been finished and released last September if she was presented with a ton of great songs written by career songwriters, and then changed a verse or whatever for writing credit. She clearly wants to have a career based on material that is personal to her now.

She has said numerous times that she needs to live life in between albums for inspiration. Did it ever occur to you that she began this album while dating Brody Jenner? She's had a breakup and is now engaged to another man. Maybe she had nightmares of last era where she had an album carrying the somber subject matter of her dissolved marriage, while being in a happy relationship with Brody? It wouldn't surprise me if Chad and David's initial material was mostly regarding her breakup. Maybe her and Epic feel like she shouldn't be singing about break-ups when she's 28 and in a highly publicized engagement to another celebrity. Maybe you're right though and the songs recorded during their first session "clearly weren't good enough" and that's why we haven't heard the already decided first single yet.

it's the same 3 people writing songs for almost a year now and everytime they thought they were done, the label told them 3 months later that they weren't

if the songs keep getting better, something tells me that they couldn't have been all that great when they started

also imagine you are the guy working at the record label and Avril presents you a song with the title HELLO KITTY
when the album is out she is almost 30
and will still be perceived as extremely immature, not willing to grow up, to evolve and progress, even her fiance told her to finally grow up
we know she really is a big hello kitty fan, unlikely she's making fun of it in a song, and fact is that most (99%+) in the US/EU think it's for little children, she can't win any new fans by singing about kids toy stuff

Nobody knows the concept. Nobody knows the sound direction because they've been very general descriptions. Nothing about this project has really been officially vocalized, and I think that's intentional. I do feel like Epic is still weighing the possibilities of how to market her album and what the follow-ups to the first single are. It was obvious to me when L.A Reid said "end of this year, or top of next" that was just PR talk and that the album wasn't coming out until 2013.

How does her working with David Hodges symbolize them not wanting to invest money into the album? He's created songs for Kelly, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Carly Rae Jepsen etc. It's not like they shacked her up in a basement studio with DJ ShotzKilla off Craiglist and said "call us when it's done". His track record is more prestigious than Alex Da Kid or The Runners. It's obvious she found somebody she feels a connection with, so let her run with it and stop turning it into a negative situation.

Also, you're being a little over-the top about the Hello Kitty thing. It's not like that's the only song she handed into Epic. For all we know she's singing about her vagina in a future #1 sexualized dance/dub-step production.

but good, looks like they actually did invest money into this album and put together a team of producers and songwriters, because the Kroeger and Hodges stuff she did last year was not good enough, just as I thought

I'm glad she's working with Cavallo now (if that really is him) and actually stayed in a studio for a whole month to get things done

Really looks like him, but im not sure. The thing is... they worked together before, in "Innocence". One of her best songs to date. So I'm really excited for the new material.

Personally, I think the pics look like a listening party or something. It's not like all those people would be working together at the same time. I think it shows that The Runners collaboration wasn't good enough. Chad and David are in the picture. ;)

I'm not convinced it's Cavallo anyway, he is currently chairman of Warner Bros Records

if the Chad and David songs were so great, there wouldn't be new songs by Matt Squire and the other guy who just screams crappy bland pop

and I would very much doubt that there will be any self-written songs by Avril on the album
