sounds all awfully generic to be honest LOL ok. I'll give you that point for Sipping On Sunshine, but Give You What You Like is sounding like the most experimental thing she's ever done. Le Me Go is too short for even me to judge if it's good or not. Be real na' girl

I do like the sound of the first one though I am not sure I would say it is the most experimental thing she has ever done.

If you don't like her, don't expect to like anything on her album obviously.

Unless "Give You What You Like" intentionally hasn't been released yet because her label is planning on releasing it soon to capitalize on sales and the season, I feel so bad for Avril. That song sounds like it would fit perfectly on radio, in this post-21 climate. Seriously, that clip is the first time I've thought "oh, this is what Avril in 2013 sounds like."

Give You What You Like. Not sure if the title is trying to be ironic (we all wanted her to go this route), but I love it! Scrap R&R and send this out.

Presuming it doesn't leak beforehand, iTunes is streaming the album the week of October 29, according to Scott Seviour.

Avril tweeted that "Let Me Go" will be available on iTunes on 10/15. I'm guessing the label has given up on "Rock N Roll" after it failed to crack the top 50 at Pop.

That is the Chad song right? I guess that is a good choice since it will get some attention just being with him.

I haven't listened to any of the leaks, but if 'Give You What You Like' is so good, why aren't they releasing it next?

The beginning is strong. I'm glad she is still making Hot AC type songs. This should go top 10 there. I gets better with every listen. Still wish/hope they go with "Give you want you want" but with Chad on it, there is some hype.

Finally a good Avril Lavigne song! I really like Let Me Go! It's a great little track, even if it's not a pop hit at all. Still, it's a step in the right direction for sure.

Wait "Let Me Go" is really, really good. I'm into it (and surprised at myself). Not that it will be a pop hit, but I actually think this has more potential than "Rock N Roll" ever did.

When does it hit iTunes? It seems arbitrary to do all of this promo and then not have the single available for purchase.

Having Chad on the song works against it for me. I listened to it this morning for the first time and it's definitely a nice song but hearing Chad on it makes me not care to listen again, at least never in public. I'm not on the anti-Nickelback bandwagon but that doesn't mean I like hearing them.

I'm sorry dahhhling but my fave would never go on a cover looking like that. That chimney soot look was never in way back when Avril was hot but in 2013 its not acceptable who is her stylist, a coal mine worker?

According to your favs, I see nobody that could even get a cover in Japan so they won't have to worry about their makeup!!!1

I actually love Mariah and was one of the few people that bought Memoirs, but that is a highly exaggerated number. Yes, Mariah Carey is one of the few legends to have some very high selling albums, but the last time she had an album actually outsell Avril in Japan was 1998 with #1's.

The number has been reported as anywhere from 13.5 to over 17 million regardless where it falls it makes your initial comment sound stupid tho. Anyways this will only derail the thread and has nothing to do with Avril so let's just move on :)

I agree. Let's move on.

I'll admit that while I enjoyed her first two singles, they ultimately disappointed as I was hoping for some more mature material from her. Then came Let Me Go and I'm hooked. I was originally just going to pick up Celine on the 5th, now I'm compelled to purchase Avril's as well.
