Video shot.
AWESOME choice. Easily the most commercial after "Pumped Up Kicks," even though "Helena Beat" is still my favorite. I was hoping this would be third. I wonder if it'll be third on Pop as well, or if they'll just release this to Pop second since it's more akin to "Pumped Up Kicks."

Buzzz.... Artist goes first for alphabetical cataloguing purposes. As for the group, I haven't been able to tolerate either of their hits. I doubt this changes anything.

I hate this. It's extremely annoying. Probably my least favorite on the album.

I love this. It's extremely catchy. Probably the funnest track on the album.

...just waiting for Altenrative to declare them too pop and jump ship, it's a matter of time. When that happens, this group becomes the new Panic! At The Disco, take it as you want it.

This or "Houdini" are the obvious choices for next single, however "Waste" has become my personal favorite.

^ What do you mean? Plus this is getting a music video apparently and I do think it'll be the third single, since it fits pop well and is currently charting on AAA.
Sources?

Yeah, and "Helena Beat" isn't declining at all. Oh well.

My favorite is probably "Call It What You Want" right next to Pumped Up Kicks. Supremely good album though, was surprised at how similar to MGMT these guys are.

This song is about a 4-year old who believes he rules the world.

This song really should be promoting a much better car than the Nissan Versa.

As much as I love "Helena Beat," I don't see it doing much more for the album by continuing to linger around in the Top 10. I think this has major potential, especially with the commercial feature. It makes sense to move on. The only problem might be that not only is "Helena Beat" still Top 10, but "Pumped Up Kicks" is still Top 5. I wonder how willing Alternative radio is to move on, although with this in the Top 50 already, maybe they are ready to move on. I see them decreasing their spins for "Helena Beat" much faster than their spins for "Pumped Up Kicks" though actually.

The adds date for this is only listed on FMQB, not All Access or R&R. Meanwhile, the "Call It What You Want" video has premiered. I'm confused.

This is probably the weakest song on the album for me. I wouldn't be surprised if this peaks right outside the Top 10 on Alternative.

By the end of the week they should have 3 songs Current in the top 40... does anyone know when that last happened?

By the end of the week they should have 3 songs Current in the top 40... does anyone know when that last happened? Muse on 7/25/10. "Uprising" was #9, "Resistance" was #12 and "Neutron Star Collision" was #38. Those three songs were actually all in the top 40 for 10 weeks in a row (and all in the top 16 at one point), but 7/25/10 was the most recent week.

^And they should have had four songs on the same chart a couple weeks later, except that the bastards had purged "Neutron" before "Undisclosed Desires" eventually debuted. .

All of their songs have a sort of infectious annoyance to them. I guess it all depends on whether the listener is bothered by that or not. I don't see how anyone could say it's worse in one song compared to the others though. It's definitely there in all of them, and to the same degree in all of them.

"Call It What You Want" would have been a great followup. "Houdini" would do well here. "Don't Stop" is what you play in Guantanamo to get the terrorists to crack.

I agree that Helena Beat was better, but people seem to love this. It's been number one three days in a row on the "most requested songs" countdown on the Alternative station in Kansas City.
I think "Houdini" is the obvious fourth choice.

Fun little fact I just saw on Mediabase. Foster The People is the first artist since Alanis Morissette in 1996 to have 3 songs from their debut album on the alternative chart at the same time.
