Why wouldn't I be- erm- "obsessed" with "Papi"? Y'all should know by now that I get a kick out of reading some posters' comments about how "smashing" a track is doing when it's not- especially when it's a female act- so am just having fun. And I will have fun with Slaydonna as well if her single underperforms. (but given she's 53 and may not be doing the hot-sound-of-the-moment, like she did with "4 Minutes," as she's working with William Orbit again, it will be less of a surprise if it does). slw- you neglected to mention Mimi and other "divas," in there, too.

Why are you so obsessed with Papi? There are dozens of singles underperforming right now and you feel the urge to single Papi out every time. Gurl. He can't help himself. If its not papi then its Britney related. Let him dedicate his energy and time. Once slaydonna comes back in 2012...I'm sure he'll mix it up more. You forgot "Mimi Carey"

What's the magic number to get a person into the Top 10 of the HOT 100? 200-250k in sales?

WFL should be right behind SAIKI on tomorrow's update. Hoping it can overtake it in airplay by the end of the next tracking week.

SAIKI should pass "You and I," though, so WFL probably would be behind Y&I. Of course, things may look different on BDS' chart.

Billboard.com:
Over to the Digital Songs chart, Adele's "Someone Like You" is steady at No. 1 yet again, with 207,000 downloads sold this past week (down 5%). LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" rises 3-2 (206,000; up 13%) and Rihanna's "We Found Love" (featuring Calvin Harris) jumps 5-3 (174,000; up 21%). Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" holds at No. 4 (174,000; down 1%) and Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" slides 2-5 (166,000; down 11%).
The highest debut on the Digital Songs chart belongs to Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa's "Young, Wild & Free" (featuring Bruno Mars), which debuts at No. 6 with 159,000. It's the first single from the soundtrack to "Mac & Devin Go to High School," due out in December.
Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts" (featuring Adam Levine), is pushed back 6-7 despite a sales gain (136,000; up 2%), as is David Guetta's "Without You" (featuring Usher), which moves 7-8 (129,000; up 7%). Cobra Starship's "You Make Me Feel" (featuring Sabi) returns to the top 10, rising 11-9 (107,000; up 26%) and Lady Gaga's "You and I" holds at No. 10 (96,000; up 6%).
Digital track sales this past week totaled 21.34 million downloads, up 4% compared to last week (20.59 million) and up 8% stacked next to the comparable week of 2010 (19.71 million). Year to date track sales are at 993.66 million, up 10% compared to the same total at this point last year (899.68 million).

Didn't realize Akon- oops, I mean Pitbull- nope, make that Bruno Mars- had two soundtrack singles out right now. BTW- the current female version of those has to be Nicki Minaj or RiRi (fitting, as they have a track together)- now RiRi's featured on a track from Coldplay's upcoming album.

Even though SLY has now been passed by its only real rivals SAIKI and WFL on iTunes it's not falling behind by any appreciable amount yet (5% behind SAIKI and 3% behind WFL). As long as its sales don't suddenly fall through the floor, it looks like WFL and SAIKI are gonna have to wait until their airplay is much closer. Remarkable when you consider total sales of SLY in the US last week were actually 307,000 and over 6 million Americans own a legitimate copy of the song! WFL should experience a spike now the video is out, though.

www.billboard.com/#/news/adele-still-atop-hot-100-snoop-dogg-and-1005425512.storyAdele Still Atop Hot 100, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Debutby Gary Trust, N.Y. | October 19, 2011 Contrasting sounds bookend the Billboard Hot 100's top 10, as Adele's sparse piano ballad "Someone Like You" spends a fourth week atop the tally, while rappers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa soar in at No. 10 with "Young, Wild & Free." "Someone" maintains its command atop the chart by logging a fourth frame at No. 1 on Digital Songs (207,000, down 5%, according to Nielsen SoundScan) and holding at No. 2 for a fourth week on Radio Songs (144 million all-format audience impressions, up 6%, according to Nielsen BDS). The Hot 100's first No. 1 featuring a vocalist backed by only piano accompaniment (although remixes have helped "Someone" cross to formats including rhythmic, dance and Latin) shares space in the top 10 with a high-debuting high-profile rap duet. In a pairing of an icon and one of the genre's rising stars, Snoop Dogg -- who celebrates his 40th birthday today -- and Wiz Khalifa enter at No. 10 with "Young, Wild & Free" (featuring Bruno Mars), the first single from the pair's comedic movie (and soundtrack), "Mac and Devin Go to High School," due early next year. "It's a great buddy film. Snoop's the cool guy in school and I'm kind of the nerd," Khalifa recently told Billboard.com's The Juice. "We've got 10 songs already and we're using all 10 of then." Starting with 159,000 downloads sold, the launch marks Snoop Dogg's highest Hot 100 debut as a lead act and the 10th top 10 of his 18-year chart career. Khalifa collects his third top 10 and second-highest arrival, after "No Sleep" soared in at No. 6 in April. Mars makes his first top 10 entrance with his seventh top 10. The Hot 100's top five remains static, as, below "Someone," former four-week No. 1 "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera holds at No. 2, followed by Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" (No. 3); LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" (No. 4); and, Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts," featuring Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine (No. 5). Rihanna's "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, lifts 7-6 on the Hot 100 with dual Digital and Airplay Gainer honors. The lead single from "Talk That Talk," due Nov. 21, and Rihanna's 20th Hot 100 top 10 pushes 5-3 on Digital Songs (174,000, up 21%) and 23-15 on Radio Songs (58 million, up 31%). Between "Found" and Snoop Dogg and Khalifa's collaboration on the Hot 100, David Guetta's "Without You," featuring Usher, advances 8-7; Cobra Starship's "You Make Me Feel...," featuring Sabi, edges 9-8; and LMFAO's formwe seven-week No. 1 "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, descends 6-9. Hungry for more Hot 100 headlines, including debuts this week from three superstar females each at least four singles-deep into their latest albums? For all details and the Hot 100 chart in its entirety, check Billboard.com tomorrow (Oct. 20), when all rankings, including Digital and Radio Songs, will be refreshed, as they are each Thursday.

8 consecutive weeks at #3 for Foster the People. Apparently SNL didn't do any justice as far as iTunes sales. This song desreves to hit at least number 2. And with the decreasing airplay and sales, that's not going to happen.
