Ola - All over the world

Wasn't too crazy about this when I heard it the first time, although its growing on me a bit lately. Its Sweden's Ola Svensson. He kinda reminds me of Robyn because of the hair and she's also swedish.

Its currently number one on Energy 98, one of the most popular Internet dance station:

I have a feeling this might cross over to the U.S. not because of Ultra Records, but the sound seems to fit nicely with top 40. Also getting some buzz from PD's of dance radio.

The music video was shot from New York City, my hometown. :)

Also he was in "Idol 2005" in Sweden in which he came in eighth place. In that same season, Agnes Carlsson won that competition.

This sounds like another song, I just heard it in a commercial. Maybe a Jason Derulo song? Anyway, this might grow on me with some more listens.

It really is funny how much he looks like a male Robyn, lol.

Yeah I think that might be the only issue is that it does sound like another song but it can also blend in easily which can help I guess. The way the dance programmers has been hyping this i don't know, maybe they know something we don't. They also hyped up "Save the world' by the Swedish House Mafia which did make it the lower end of the top 40 but failed to top the Hot 100.

Sweden has lots of talents over the years (Ace of Base, ABBA, Robyn, Swedish House Mafia, Star Pilots, etc.)

Yeah, I've recently kind of been getting into some Swedish pop music myself like Tove Styrke, The Sound of Arrows, and Loreen. This blog has a guy who periodically does write ups on Swedish pop songs that he likes. Here's the latest one:
