I only got to listen to the last few songs of it today, but as soon as I hear tomorrow's broadcast of the show, I'll post the chart, but I'll tell you right now, it looks like that new Building 429 song will not be experiencing the same thing that "Leaving 99" currently is - erratic chart movement. Because that song leaps from 6 to 1 in a single week, and it wasn't even on the chart two weeks ago! According to host Jon Rivers, it is the fastest climb to number one in the history of Christian Radio Weekly. Since the current trend on 20: TCM is long stays at the top, I have a feeling this song could be up there well into the summer. The trends of many songs on the chart is erratic, I know, but usually songs don't bounce around up near the top of the chart ("Word Of God (Speak)" was number one for 20 uninterrupted weeks). I wonder where "Leaving 99" turned up. I sure hope it moved back up into the Top Ten. Because if that song is done already, I'm gonna be really mad.

I heard a few songs on the show tonight in the car. The weird movements continue as Avalon fell from 2 all the way to 14 with "All." Truly, this chart is being entered into the computer by monkeys with blindfolds on.

OK, here is this week's 20: The Countdown Magazine chart:
LC TC SONG/ARTIST 06 01 Glory Defined/Building 429 01 02 More/Matthew West 03 03 Right Here/Jeremy Camp 05 04 Rain Down/Delirious 04 05 Here I Am To Worship/Philips Craig & Dean 07 06 Blessed Be Your Name/Tree 63 09 07 Whatever It Takes/Nate Sallie 11 08 Who Am I/Casting Crowns 13 09 Shelter/SonicFlood 08 10 Sing A Song/Third Day XX 11 Grace Like Rain/Todd Agnew 16 12 I Love The Way/Ginny Owens 12 13 Leaving 99/Audio Adrenaline 02 14 All/Avalon 10 15 Lose This Life/Tait 15 16 Mercy Reigns/Shane & Shane 14 17 If We Are The Body/Casting Crowns 20 18 Beautiful Name/ZoeGirl 17 19 Mistaken/Warren Barfield XX 20 Power Of Your Love/Rebecca St. James
Droppers: From #18: Show You Love/Jars Of Clay From #19: You Are My King (Amazing Love)/The Newsboys
Jon's Future Favorite: Yes I Will/Bebo Norman & Joy Williams
Well, other than the sudden fall of "All" by Avalon, the chart seems OK. No songs falling out of the chart from way up in the Top Five (Of course, I wouldn't be surprised to see "Here I Am To Worship" dropping out of the countdown next week). But the sudden debut of Todd Agnew's "Grace Like Rain" looks a tad suspicious. The song has been on R&R's Christian A/C chart for nearly two months. And what happened to songs like "Beautiful" by Beth Dillon and "Unspoken" by Jaci Velasquez, both of which are in the Top 15 of R&R's Christian chart, but nowhere to be found on 20: The Countdown Magazine. Of course, they'll probably debut super high next week as "Sing A Song" and "Here I Am To Worship" drop out of the chart. Yet songs that have been around forever ("If We Are The Body" is a perfect example) will probably stick around. Or will the new songs mentioned above be held off for another week as "You Are My King (Amazing Love)" or even "Word Of God (Speak)" return to the chart? You never know with 20: The Countdown Magazine. Even though I don't really like the inconsistent chart moves, it does make for an interesting show.
