This week's flashback shows take you back to Labor Day Weekends 1987 and 1992. The 1992 show is his 5th Annual Hottest Hits of Summer Special. Bruce Vidal subs for his 1987 show.

Taylor Swift makes a huge jump on this week's chart, up 23 spots, from #38 to #15 (you will notice that the song has yet to debut on AT40) and we have 4 new debuts.

Take a look at #18..."I Won't Give Up." This song has moved up 1 notch at a time for the past 9 weeks. Here's its chart run so far.

Once again, Rick does not dissapoint as he continues his trend of unveiling a chart that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for his year-end review. He appears to just be mixing songs from both chart formats and then randomly placing songs at any number he wants.

I won't spend too much time trying to figure out why he does this because I can find so many faults with the rankings...for instance, his #9 song of the year, Home, had just made it to #17 on his weekly survey...but ranks #9 for the year? It actually only ranks #86 according to my calculations.

9 songs debut after the 4 week break...The biggest dropper was the #1 song from the last weekly chart back on Dec 9. Die Young falls off the chart from the #1 position.

For chart ranking purposes, I count this week's chart and back-track it one week to prevent a skewed view of the break. That's why the LW position is the same as this week and that also explains why Bruno has 2wks at #1.
