Acclaimed Music has a spreadsheet of all eligible year-end lists for the site (22 added thus far, with more to come; have to be multi-critic lists and meet a couple other requirements). One of the big lists- Village Voice's Pazz-N-Jop (which surveys hundreds of critics) comes around late January.
These are the top tracks thus far (though "Rolling in the Deep" probably will end up going on 2010's list, as it was released in that year).
1. MN83, "Midnight City" 2. Lana Del Rey, "Video Games" 3. Adele, "Rolling in the Deep" 4. James Blake, "The Wilhelm Scream" 5. Tyler the Creator, "Yonkers" 6. tUnE-yArDs, "Bizness" 7. Foster the People, "Pumped Up Kicks" 8. Fleet Foxes, "Helplessness Blues" 9. Destroyer, "Kaputt" 10. Bon Iver, "Holocene" 11. Radiohead, "Lotus Flower" 12. Real Estate, "It's Real" 13. The Rapture, "How Deep is Your Love?" 14. Lykke Li, "I Follow Rivers" 15. St. Vincent, "Cruel" 16. Jay Z and Kanye West, "Otis" 17. The Strokes, "Under Cover of Darkness" 18. Frank Ocean, "Novacane" 19. Nicki Minaj, "Super Bass" 20. Cut Copy, "Need You Now"
Some Pulse favorites: 21. Lady Gaga, "The Edge of Glory" 26. Adele, "Someone Like You" 27. Beyonce, "Countdown" 39. Rihanna, Calvin Harris, "We Found Love" 46. Beyonce, "1+1" 49. Britney Spears, "Till the World Ends"
For albums, there are more lists (80), and these are the top performers thus far: 1. PJ Harvey, Let England Shake 2. Bon Iver, Bon Iver 3. James Blake, James Blake 4. Fleet Foxes, Helplessness Blues 5. St. Vincent, Strange Mercy 6. The Weekend, House of Balloons 7. Kurt Vile, Smoke Ring For My Halo 8. tUnE-yArDs, WhoKill 9. Destroyer, Kaputt 10. Tom Waits, Bad as Me 11. Radiohead, The King of Limbs 12. Metronomy, The English Riviera 13. M83, Hurry Up, We're Dreaming 14. Girls, Father, Son, Holy Ghost 15. Lykke Li, Wounded Rhymes 16. Jay Z and Kanye West, Watch the Throne 17. F*cked Up, David Comes to Life 18. Adele, 21 19. The Horrors, Skying 20. Shabazz Palaces, Black Up
(Bjork's album currently has a low showing for her, at No. 39 for the year)
Some Pulse favorites: 48. Beyonce, 4 74. Lady Gaga, Born This Way 140. Britney Spears, Femme Fatale 604. Rihanna, Talk That Talk
As if her charts and sales dominance wasn't enough this year, Adele leaves her chart-peer females in the ACCLAIM dust.

Great to see Spin showing some love for BTW.. It's by far better than The Fame Monster, people are not just admitting it.

well even though Adele and others outsold Give me everything on itunes. GME topped the free music/media fire charts in its moment. I bet millions of people got this song for free. >:( :'( I think Give me everything is the song of the year. I went to the football game and they were playing Give me everything, I went to see New Years Eve' the movie and GME was played..It made the crossover even on the HAC charts and they are still playing it. For some reason was the the radio song of 2011. and wait for the New Years EVE, radio will be playing it again...

^ Why are you yelling?
You make a good point, though... Sales aren't always the best way to measure the popularity of a song, thanks to free downloads. I still think it's hard to argue against RITD's "Song of the Year" claims

I still think it's hard to argue against RITD's "Song of the Year" claims No I'm not yelling, I really love Adele's music :)...I just disagree with the lists that say that Rolling in the deep is the song of the year. It was one of the most popular but to me the top 2 most popular songs of the year were: Give me everything and Party Rock Anthem. that's the music that I always hear when I go to stadiums, parties, malls, movies, or when I turn on the radio :) They are always there. Maybe Rolling in the deep was the most successful on iTunes but there are over 300,million people in the USA, and many of them don't buy music legally.

Haha I was just referring to your liberal use of bold Those two songs were inescapable, but RITD was, too, wasn't it? Covered by just about everyone, universally beloved, quoted in thousands of Facebook statuses. It was a smash across all radio formats and audiences, pushed the boundaries of what a pop hit can be, and created a brillliant new living legend.

Look, I'm not sure if you're aware that these lists aren't actually factual and only reflect the opinions of one person or a group of people. You also need to be aware that what happens around where you live is different from what happens somewhere else in the world, and for a song of Rolling In The Deep's kind to penetrate pop culture to the extent that it did is extremely impressive. It is never a surprise to hear a song like Give Me Everything on Pop radio, but it is a completely different thing to experience RITD becoming a radio monster. So, by all means, if you don't necessarily agree with Adele's song being number one that's fine. But try not to act so surprised (and especially making weak claims as to why Give Me Everything must have been more popular and thus at the top of these lists) that it is topping many year-end lists because this has everything going for it to do so. The same excuses you're making for Give Me Everything can be made for Rolling In The Deep, only RITD is clearly more appreciated on a critical scale.

Lists at the AM site are from two or more critics each. :)
Pitbull isn't regarded well critically, and doesn't do anything special in the music, so you will not find GME on many best-of lists. it's fun, in the moment, sure, but that's about it. Similar to how "I Gotta Feeling" wasn't a critical monster or anything.

Why would you hear Rolling In The Deep at a stadium or club? (other than a remix)
I think songs like Give Me Everything come along every year. It's a sure bet. But RITD don't. However, I don't necessarily think it's as clear a runaway choice for the song of the year as much as her album is for album of the year or Adele is for artist of the year. The song one is up for some debate. Artist an Album is obvious.

EW is a single-critic list, so it's not eligible for the AM site.
As noted, what you hear out in the club or stadium and what does well on critics lists are two different things. Pitbull is a critical dud, while Adele Adkins is not. :)

I think you're probably the only one that thinks that. I think Recovery >>> WTT for sure but Hell I felt was a bit weak for Eminem. Maybe not so much weak but Royce stole the thunder on a lot of the tracks when I listened to them.

The all-time rankings for albums was updated last year; the songs were updated last month (with a couple of lists' effects not fully reflected in the update, because of a snafu, but nothing too major).
Whenever the next updates occur, it likely will include info for 2010 and 2011.

The Acclaimed Music spreadsheet for 2011 albums now includes a whopping 147 lists. Albums are ranked based on their overall performance on lists, not by how many they appear on. But, here are the rankings for some Pulse favorites:
20. Adele, 21 (appears on 37 lists) 63. Beyonce, 4 (19 lists) 104. Lady Gaga, Born This Way (12 lists) 214. Britney Spears, Femme Fatale (7 lists) 252. Rihanna, Talk That Talk (5 lists)
Adele continues leaving all others in the dust, both commercially and critically. PJ Harvey's album (No. 1) is the only solo-female album (that I can see) ranked higher than Adele's title.

Brad Paisley seems to be one of those artists that gets good reviews but never makes it into any year-end lists...
