This was one of many singles by the R&B/post-Disco group with singers including Luther Vandross, Jocelyn Brown, and Deborah Cooper who went on to be pretty successful later on. Their "The Glow Of Love" was sampled in Janet Jackson's "All For You."
This particular single came out in 1984 and peaked at #56 on the Billboard R&B chart and #33 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart.
Although relatively obscure to many now, the song re-emerged when it was sampled for Jazzy M's "Jazzin' The Way You Know" in 2000. The original mix of this song used just one line of the song and looped it.
But then the Illicit remix used most of the full vocals from original version.
I discovered this song earlier in the year after having loved the Illicit mic of the Jazzy M song ever since it came out. For whatever reason, I Googled the lyrics and discovered that they matched the Change song, and that the actual album version was the source of the vocals on the song! I like the original as well.

Change in general was so underrated, this is definitely one of my favorites from them. The production on their music as a whole is always so tight and impressive for me.

This is definitely one of their better latter day songs, but they definitely peaked with the first album although their second and third album had a few good singles.
