^ I'm excited to finally hear new Joe Nichols! Who did he sign with or will this album be independent?

He's with Red Bow, which is the third label in the Broken Bow/Stoney Creek/Red Bow triage.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're asking what label she's on, all your questions should be answered in this thread.

I'm pretty sure that with this being the "Upcoming Singles" thread that echocountry was expressing a question many of us may be wondering in the back of our minds as to what is going on with her in regards to the new album and putting out a new single for it. So far she's put out two comeback singles, spaced out by a year a piece. So I guess maybe we'll have to wait until later this year for attempt No. 3? But, I honestly have no idea. I wish they'd just get the album out there; it's been 8 years now.

Somewhat inadvertently, I've seen Joe Nichols play live twice in the last couple of months...both times, he played a new song called "Yeah" that is ridiculously catchy. Unfortunately, at the second show, he said it will probably be a single down the road, but it looks like they're going with a different song in May for the first new one from the new album. I believe he said the album will be out in October. Anyway, I'm calling it now...if they release "Yeah" to radio, it will go No. 1. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuKrYhD4wfM

It is my understanding that Andy Gibson has a new single coming out called "Best Thing". The promotion for the single is set to begin in May with a possible add date of June 3rd. It will be available June 4th.

The Band Perry has a poll up on their Facebook page about their next single; these are the options.
Mother Like Mine Pioneer Dont Let Me Be Lonely I Saw The Light Back To Me And You
Dont Let Me Be Lonely is winning in a landslide currently.

Interesting little ad across the top of Country Aircheck Today. You can faintly see the Show Dog and Universal logos in the bottom right corner. I'm assuming the song is a 4-word title making the acronym of WTWE. My guess is that it's a new single from Trace Adkins. His album is out on the 14th and while this is unconventional (releasing the lead single at the same time you release the album), Trace is an established name so I think most of his fans would buy the album regardless. Anyway, the song that comes to mind is "Watch The World End" from his album...it's a duet with Colbie Cailat. It was up on SoundCloud a week or two ago but the label took it down now.

^^ Watch the World End is getting played on Sirius XM's The Highway, so you're probably right. The song is a bit of a snoozer IMO.

Attachment DeletedTravis Tritt with Tyler Reese (Travis's Daughter) " Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" TRAVIS TRITT DUETS WITH DAUGHTER ON NEW ALBUMGrammy winning singer, songwriter and entertainer Travis Tritt will release his first single in six years, " Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough," on this Father's Day, Sunday, June 16. A remake of the Patty Smyth and Don Henley duet, Tritt sings the song with his 15-year-old daughter Tyler Reese. Originally recorded for his 2007 album The Storm, the track was shelved when a suitable duet partner could not be secured in time for the album's release. Last year, Tritt received ownership of the album's masters from his former label. And, in the interim, a duet partner materialized ... in his own family. "Last year we were driving home from a wedding in Florida when the song came up on my iPod," Travis explains. "My 15-year-old daughter Tyler Reese had never heard the song, and she started singing along in the backseat. When it ended she made me play it again five or six more times. I was listening, but didn't say anything. "When we got home, I told my wife that I thought Tyler Reese could really do a great job on this song. We agreed and I took her in the studio to sing her parts. I know I sound like a biased parent, but she's got a lot of talent and charisma. The recording speaks for itself. She really nailed it." "Sometimes" is the first single from an upcoming re-release of the album. A video has already been shot and will soon be released to cable and online outlets. Meanwhile, Travis continues his full slate of touring. digitalrodeo.com/news/travis-tritt-duets-daughter-new-album

That new Trace Adkins tune can be heard on the Roughstock website; I like it a lot, and will definitely be buying his new CD.
Granted he's the format's most infuriating artist IMHO; when he releases great tunes they're the equal of anybody in the format, but when he releases a turkey, it's a super-sized turkey.

So based on the ad in the Country Aircheck Weekly PDF I'm assuming "I Hope It Rains" will be Jana Kramer's next single?

They won't get any mainstream play, but Josh Abbott Band is sending She Will Be Free to radio next.

They (he?) tweeted about it earlier today - said something about how excited he is about it and that the video is being shot in a few weeks.
That's good that Warner might be getting ready to launch them, they seem to be the next in line after EYB broke through. Although I would imagine they will wait until they have a new album recorded with a killer lead single like EYB had with Crazy Girl. I've mentioned it a few times, but I would love to see them put Oh Tonight back on another album when the time comes and release it again. You have to figure if Warner is really trying to break them through mainstream and with the success of Musgraves that that would be a smash at that point. Obviously I don't think they would break them through with a duet, but down the line I can only hope.

As excited as I am for new music from Lauren, I wish that her new single wasn't coming out right on the heels of Scotty's. I wish Mercury would distance the careers of the two of them so that it wouldn't feel as if Lauren was just in Scotty's shadow. With that said, I hope that she can really break through with this song because I think she's a phenomenal talent that hasn't even reached her true potential yet. So I hope she gains some traction with this era.
