Greg Bates posted this picture to his Facebook today: Not sure if it means anything, but that would be GREAT if "Lost In Caroline" is his new single and gets released sometime this fall.

More on Sara Evans: She had a meeting with In Style, which seems to be some kind of fashion company. Anyway, the important thing is some of the dates that are given! "After playing us a copy of her new single (hitting the music scene September 9th)...", is the first quote, followed by "Check out Sara’s new album when it drops in February 2014." So, I imagine an official single announcement will come very soon! About February as a potential album date, we will just have to see. She has not always been the most reliable person at providing long-term dates, but early next year does make sense if a single is just now being released, especially with how slow her songs are likely to climb. But at least now we have some potential dates to look forward to, rather than just speculating from abstract tweets! Edit: Here is the link. tumblr.instyle.com/post/55887584917/sara-evans-instyle-visit

I'm guessing that's a good ballpark for the release date of the album if the single is due out in September. She dropped ALBS in September and then the album came out in March, so it's pretty close to that.

Rumor has it...that Brad Paisley will be performing his new single "I Can't Change the World" on tomorrow night's results show for America's Got Talent. Posted on his FB page not too long ago. Thoughts, anyone?

Jo Dee Messina is now letting fans pick the single off the new album. The choices are Peace Sign or Woman's Rant! Listen to the previews and vote HERE

Jo Dee Messina is now letting fans pick the single off the new album. The choices are Peace Sign or Woman's Rant! Listen to the previews and vote HEREI love the hook on "Peace Sign" but the reference of email in the lyrics sounds so dated and the production is kind of uninteresting (though it's glossy and has a pop-rock tinge to it, so it'd fit right in on radio). "A Woman's Rant" on the other hand, is great both melodically and instrumentally (the country inflections are much more my style). So, I'd much rather see "A Woman's Rant" be the lead single from these choices. Either way, I'm very excited for her album.

Listen to the previews and vote HEREI prefer Woman's Rant but I think maybe Peace Sign has more chance on radio. Peace Sign is a Amy Dalley song and it was on her last album, if anyone is interested about hearing the full song.

I voted for "Peace Sign"
Both songs are good but I think PS is a little more radio friendly and if she has any hope of it doing anything it'd be best to go with that one.

I listened to a little bit of "Take The Keys" earlier and...yikes. Gonna sound like a broken record here but I don't know what else I can say, other than "wrong genre". She sounds like a pop singer. I heard nothing country in the song and her voice has no country characteristics either.

Definitely think some labels are actively looking for 'pop-leaning' singers like her.

Well this new song sounds more "pop" than just about any other "country"-pop song I can think of. Pope sang a bunch of country songs in her later The Voice performances and with her being on Team Blake, I figured she'd go the country-pop route. But for a new artist, not coming off a show like that? I just don't understand why Leah wants to market herself as country, when that song is clearly not.

But on the other hand, I really don't listen to male singers, but I have the impression that Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Brentley Gilbert and the list goes on, are releasing stuff like this, aren't they?

Colby Dee wants to make sure everyone knows who she is. The singer is hitting the road on an extensive radio tour to debut her new single, ‘He Don’t Know,’ from her upcoming self-titled EP.
“I just want them to relate to my songs, and not sit there and wonder what that song was about,” Dee says about her loyal fans. “I want them to enjoy my music, and go home and talk about the songs and how they related to it in their life somehow.”
The songstress, who was recently featured in Billboard magazine’s 615 spotlight, is already a seasoned performer. In addition to several of her own concerts, including headlining the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure flagship event in Washington, DC, she has also appeared in several noteworthy videos by some of country music’s biggest artists, including Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley.
The Canadian-born singer, who now calls Nashville home, will play a show in Nashville in August. Keep track of her complete schedule here.

Yes! Her new label is on the ball this time. So happy they're not fiddling around like BNA/Columbia did. Let's see if LBG is the type of single she needs for radio to take interest in her again.

The Take the Keys song may not be country, but this is the era we are in. I thought it was pleasant sounding and the lyrics were interesting. Many of the popular male artists lean more towards the rock side than pop, but yeah, quite a few of them have strayed from their country roots too. As for Leah's song, what really caught me off guard in the 30 second clip I heard was her vocal delivery...I always try to imagine new artists on country radio but all I could think of when I was listening to "Take The Keys" is how strange it would sound on a country station. Her voice wasn't bad--it was definitely unique though, but it doesn't seem like it would lend itself well to country music at all.

Sweetwater Rain posted on their FB page a couple days ago that they'll have a new single out soon called "Pray For Me". I'm sure it'll go to iTunes before radio, like Curb has done with many of their other artists recently. Also, the band is opening for many of Rascal Flatts' tour dates this fall, beginning on October 10. Their FB page said that it would be them, followed by The Band Perry and then of course RF as the headliner. I'm surprised that such a little-known act like Sweetwater Rain was able to get on that tour but good for them. It can only help.

I'm actually liking that Curb just released an influx of singles, it's refreshing for them to actually have a ton of singles to go along with their ton of artists. Having said that I don't expect many of them to do anything but still. I think these are all the current Curb/Sidewalk singles. Lee Brice - "Parking Lot Party" Steve Holy - "Radio Up" Morgan Frazier - "Hey Bully" Rachel Holder - "Lord Help Me" SweetWater Rain - "Pray For Me" American Young - "Love Is War" Andy Gibson - "Best Thing" Dylan Scott - "Makin' This Boy Go Crazy" Also Tim Dugger had a ep released. They may not find massive success but at least Curb is letting their artists do something for once. :) Now I just need a single for Tyler Dean, Ruth Collins, Marie Miller & Especially Ashley Gearing! lol

Keith Urban's next single is rumored to be "We Were Us", his duet with Miranda Lambert. From Billboard: URBAN DEVELOPMENT: Keith Urban's "Little Bit of Everything" reaches a new peak (No. 6) on Hot Country Songs, adding Digital Gainer stripes (46,000 sold, up 68%). It also hits a new peak (No. 2) on Country Airplay.
"Everything" (co-written by pop singer/songwriter Kevin Rudolf, whose "Let It Rock," featuring Lil Wayne, hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2008), is the lead single from Urban's new set "Fuse," due Sept. 10. Nothing official has been announced, but the album's second single is reportedly a duet with Miranda Lambert, titled "When We Were Us." Link

I didn't know where to put this, but here goes.
Just a week ago, I was able to listen to the songs linked by All Access on WMP. However, two days ago, I tried to play them and they wouldn't. Also, now when I click the link for those songs, I get a message saying that the file can't be displayed. Is there something wrong with the site, or is it just me?

Florida Georgia Line is set to release Stay as their next single. They have been hinting at it for a few weeks on twitter and made the video for it yesterday. No date for release.

From the Boot:
Krystal Keith is releasing the debut single from her upcoming album, ‘Whiskey & Lace,’ to radio. The uptempo tune, ‘Get Your Redneck On,’ is one she co-wrote with veteran songwriter and producer Nathan Chapman.
The daughter of Toby Keith became a viral video sensation earlier this year when the song she wrote to surprise her father with during her wedding, ‘Daddy, Dance With Me,’ drew in more than one million YouTube views. But while the singer grew her fan base with the poignant tune, she says her upcoming CD has a little something for everyone.
“We picked songs that gave a broader range of what I can do … and I think we accomplished it,” Keith tells The Boot. “I’ve had some people say, ‘Wow, the range of songs that are on there is pretty cool. They aren’t all the same.’ There are songs on the album that are completely different from what’s on the EP. There’s blues and rock on the album. It’s not all the same. I think people will be pleasantly surprised that there’s still more to come.”
Keith is currently on her first radio tour in support of ‘Get Your Redneck On.’ No official release date has been announced for ‘Whiskey & Lace.’

"Get Your Redneck On" isn't the most enticing title, but after the beautiful "Daddy Dance with Me," I am looking forward to seeing what Krystal Keith's debut album will have in store. "Daddy Dance with Me" was likely too slow for radio, but it was a fantastic song and it's too bad it couldn't have gotten the opportunity to be a big hit because it's a truly fabulous song.
