Indeed. But that song was purely pandering to radio. Boring and hardly memorable.

My gut is new album next year, hopefully when her schedule slows down a little. She's been at a go-go-go as a TV personality. Good problem to have, nonetheless! Confident that "If It Wasn't For A Woman" will garner similar feedback independent releases like "Five More Minutes" and "Church Clothes" did for Scotty McCreery and Kelleigh Bannen respectively.

That'd be great if the Kellie Pickler song had enough sales and intrest for radio to play it. Hopefully Kellie Pickler can get signed to a major label and she can be back on the chart again!

From an interview she did in august where she mentioned new music. I meant to post this a few weeks ago but totally forgot about it until i saw this post.

Kacey Musgraves hasn’t finished recording her new album yet, but she’s taking the summer off to tour with her old friend Willie Nelson. It’s becoming an annual tradition for the 28-year-old singer-songwriter from Texas whose most recent studio album, 2015’s “Pageant Material,” earned her a nomination for best country album at the 58th Grammy Awards. Musgraves earned a legion of fans after supporting Katy Perry in 2014 on the pop star’s “Prismatic” tour. Next year, she will open several dates for One Direction’s Harry Styles on his 2018 tour of the U.S. and Canada. She spoke to us from her home in Nashville.

Q: Are you home because you’re working on a new album?

A: I’ve been taking this year to get to the creative side of things, and also plan a wedding — and I’ve been renovating a house. So I’ve had a lot of reasons to stay put.

Q: Your career is really going on these divergent paths where you’re courting the country audience and the pop audience. Which direction would you like to see it go?

A: Well, all I know what to do is continue to make music that makes me feel good — you know, whatever category that lands in is fine.

Q: So how’s the new album coming along?

A: I’m so pumped. All I can say is it’s the most excited I’ve ever been about music that I’ve made.

“Take Back Home Girl” is actually pretty good not gonna lie. It’s countrier than all of the songs on the Girl Problems album combined. I assume it’ll get an adds date eventually. I figured Chris’s follow up would be DOA, but not that song. It definitely has potential.

Also not sure who Tori Kelly is, but she sounds really good on this. The two of them together sound good too.

I just saw in my All Access Nashville email that Jillian Jacqueline (signed to the same record label as Chris Lane and Morgan Wallen) is on her radio tour so we should expect her debut single either in late Q4 or early next year I think.

I noticed for today's Mediabase adds that new possible singles from Shania Twain and Bailey Bryan recieved adds (Shania Twain 4 adds, Bailey Bryan 1 add).

Is there anything official that Bailey Bryan's next single will be "Life Goes On" or if Shania Twain will release "We Got Something They Don't" as her next single?

Bailey says on Twitter that “Too Good” is coming super soon. So I don’t know if that’s a new single or not.

I saw that this morning and this was my same thought as well. It's definitely not a sure thing, as I'm sure Kenny could get into the studio and record a new album over the winter/spring, with the lead single potentially coming out just before the tour starts in April, but then why name the tour after a song on Cosmic Hallelujah? It's interesting, though, because on the one hand, Cosmic Hallelujah has only been out for a year (Oct. 28, 2016 release date), but on the other hand, its 1st and 3rd singles weren't very big hits. Does that mean they'd be more or less likely to release a 5th single? It's hard to say, but maybe they'd want to release "Trip Around The Sun" as the 5th and final single since "All The Pretty Girls" did quite well, certainly much better than "Noise" and "Bar At The End Of The World".

Kenny's had a few albums that produced 5 singles, the last being Hemingway's Whiskey back in 2010. He even had one album with 6 singles (2004's When The Sun Goes Down), but I certainly don't think we'll get a 6-album single from him again, and even a 5th single from Cosmic Hallelujah isn't guaranteed yet. But I do think there's a pretty good possibility of it happening.

With Carrie Underwood performing at the CMA Awards, could we see her debut a new lead single? It seems way to late for a medley and "The Fighter" peaked a while back, so if she is performing it would seem a new lead single is a possibility.
