I heard "Craig" a few weeks ago on the Bobby Bones Show (Bobby said it wasn't a single yet, but was hoping it would be) and I couldn't believe how terrible it was. I could see it maybe making the top 40 simply because he's coming off a hit, but "Craig" would easily be one of the most polarizing songs to ever hit country radio. The story behind the song is nice and all but it's just an absolutely awful song that's 0% country. |

I really hope they don't go with "Craig". I actually like the song, but don't think it'd work at all at radio. "Mind Candy" should definitely be next, but I thought they were going to go with "Beautiful".

"Craig" sounds like a Macklemore knockoff, what the hell did I just listen to? That might be one of the worst "country" songs I've heard. They should try "Shut Up Kenny", its really the only good song on the album IMO.

Just listened to "Craig" out of curiosity based on the comments and was about to say that it sounds like a Macklemore impression, but I see dm2081 beat me to that. Bleck. Since I hated "You Broke Up with Me" and we have far too many untalented male artists getting airplay, I wouldn't mind at all if "Craig" is indeed his next single because it would bomb spectacularly and hopefully take him with it. I haven't listened to the rest of boom., but something tells me I don't really need to bother. |

Seems like the Tim Mcgraw/Faith Hill duets album was a bust (Personally I hated it). Anyway, does this mean we should expect a new single from Tim's next album soon? I can always count on at least one or two really good songs on his albums (Damn Country Music, Diamond Rings and Old Barstools, etc).

Ryan Hurd has released his wedding song "Diamonds or Twine" on digital outlets. Don't know if it's a single but damn it better be. It's a smash, and the next In Case You Didn't Know.

Maverick Management has posted this photo. Terri Clark has a new duet with Dallas Smith coming out tomorrow called "One Drink Ago." I'm not sure if this is the lead single off of Terri's forthcoming album, but I would imagine so. It's also interesting that a US management company has posted about this. Could this mean that Terri could possibly be getting another chance at radio here in the states? EDIT: It's being released by 604 Records (label home of Dallas Smith). So excited for new Terri Clark! Since Dallas Smith is like one of the biggest things in Canada right now, I'm hoping it revives her career at radio little bit. I don't expect it to do anything down here (if it's even released/pushed to US radio at all, which I doubt), but she'll likely get another hit in Canada at least thanks to his name being attached to it.

Probably won't even try to release it here and if they do, yeah it's not likely to do much of anything, but Dallas Smith has never missed the Top 10 in Canada and he's coming off 4 straight #1 hits, so I think this is a smart play at radio for her to get some renewed attention.
I dig the song, too. Was a little skeptical in the sense that I don't really for him at all, but he's fine on this and Terri still sounds great, so I'm here for it. Can't wait for a new Terri Clark album!
