Watching Jon Pardi live currently, and he just announced “Night Shift” as his next single... I had a bad feeling he was going to...he’s been promoting it a lot on his Instagram. That’s really disappointing. I thought for sure new music was ready. |

YES. It would have been a major screw up to leave both "Cowboy Hat" and "Night Shift" behind. I think it'll be a hit. Jon loves it and the fans love it.

when is Runaway June putting "Buy My Own Drinks" out to digital outlets. I haven't heard it yet. but the Highway XM is playing it.

It's a little less traditional than their other two but still pretty organic. Kind of reminded me sonically of Miranda Lambert's earlier stuff and/or Maddie and Tae. I'd surely hope that after three singles (the first two seeing even moderate success) we can get an album. I really like their style. |

Found this when reading HDD's tabulation of feats of major record labels. The following is from the BMLG section. Not sure how long "upcoming/expected" is but one may expect new music from Brett Young, Brantley Gilbert and The Cadillac Three soon. Also, UMG (surprisingly to me) put Maddie & Tae on "upcoming/expected releases" section as well. Does it mean 2nd album is coming?  |

"I Can Buy My Own Drinks" is probably my least fave out of the 3 Runaway June songs. Mainly because the production or instrumentation sounds a bit clunky too me, and the lyrics are just so blah. Also the harmonies fall flat. Vocally they sound good but the song bores me.
I think if the song is released to radio it'll succeed especially given how eager radio has been with this group of women compared to the other female acts. (You don't get your first 2 singles if you are a female act in the Top 40 without one of them being OTV and yet Runaway June is the exception in the past couple of years).

I know this is off topic but I saw a music video on CMTMUSIC earlier when I was at one of my moms friends. A dark haired country female wearing a black hair was sitting next to bunch of vinyl records, the background was like a night club color theme. Does anyone know who the girl is?
