Color me intrigued bout the Dierks duet. Collab of the year at the 2013 CMAs suddenly is heating up.

Brad is expanding. Some will hate it on basis of collabo with LL alone.

I'm super pumped about the Brad Paisley/Mat Kearney collaboration, as they are two of my favorite artists. It certainly will be an interesting pairing, but I think it could work really well!

Dierks is racking up the collaborations this year. Terri Clark, Holly Williams, Brad Paisley, Kacey Musgraves... and I suppose you could count Miranda too. Love it!

I'm curious to see if Dierks + Musgraves will actually be a collaboration of if she was just doing some Grace Potter/El Cerrito Place backing vocals. I would fully approve a Dierks/Kacey duet though.

There is a Special Music Survey on Rate The Music now and it's for Kacey! There are 4 songs, and it lets you listen to anywhere from 1.5 to 2 minutes of each. The 4 songs are "Step Off", "Arrow", "Silver Lining", and "Blowin' Smoke". This 2nd track listing (in quote below) appears to be much more accurate than the first one that was posted, as the 1st one didn't include "Silver Lining" or "Arrow". The one below still might not be the real thing but it at least has all 4 of the tracks from the survey, with the only difference being that Rate The Music listed the title as "Arrow" instead of "Follow Your Arrow", but it's the same song because 'follow your arrow' is the hook in the chorus. Just checked the Barnes & Noble website and this is what they had for Kacey's tracklist:
1 Silver Lining 2 My House 3 Merry Go 'Round 4 Dandelion 5 Blowin' Smoke 6 I Miss You 7 Step Off 8 Back On The Map 9 Keep It To Yourself 10 Stupid 11 Follow Your Arrow 12 It Is What It Is Each of the 4 songs sounded great. The production is 'real' country, got a bit of that Texas flavor to it. These new finished tracks sound very much like the style of "Merry Go 'Round". I'd guess that Mercury is gauging early fan interest to get a better idea of what they should release as the 2nd single, and I could see it being released in early/mid March, as it does look like MGR has gone about as far as it'll go, but hopefully they give it one or two more good weeks yet and it can eek out a top 10 peak. If you don't have a Rate The Music account, you can sign up for free. It's really easy. Just go to www.ratethemusic.com and register for an account, and make sure that you click on "country" when you're signing up. They send you weekly surveys to rank the current top 30 hits (Country Aircheck/Mediabase mentions RTM in their call-out reports quite often) and every now and then you get Special Music surveys, usually to listen to brand new music from upcoming albums. It's basically the label's way of testing which song(s) may work as the next single.

I was under the impression that they use some random number generator to decide who does each special survey. I've not received 1 or 2 recently.

Oh that's interesting, I guess I've never heard about that. Whenever someone posts about a special RTM survey here, I think I've always seen it when I log-in to the site.

Wow...that Brad album sounds...really interesting. I'll definitely be checking it out. I also have to chime in that I LOVE the cover.
Lots of really strange titles. "Death Of A Married Man" followed a few tracks later by "Death Of A Single Man". The title of the Dierks Bentley/Roger Miller collaboration sounds really cool -- "Outstanding In Our Field". Then there's "Accidental Racist" will LL Cool J and probably the most bizarre title I've ever seen, â幽 女â. Anyone know what that translates to? LOL.
Ok, so Google comes up with something along the lines of "quiet female" for that track, haha.

Hmm. I just might check out that Brad album. Never really listened to his previous efforts, so I'm looking forward to what he has to offer this go round.

Just listened to those Kacey Musgraves song previews on Rate The Music. Awesome, as expected. Totally country in instrumentals, and still brutally honest in lyrics. The best combination!

Blake's album cover is horrendous. Really? Despite by displeasure towards Blake, his comments, and his music of late, I actually really like that album cover. I've pretty much lost patience with him due to his attitude but I know I'll still give this album a shot. I own pretty much all his singles but I've never purchased a full studio album and lately, he hasn't exactly helped his cause, but we'll see if there are some good songs on this album. Looks like an Crackerbarrel album cover...

@guitarleena (Angeleena Presley) "@carsondaly: Pistol Annies should be nominated for a Grammy" awe shucks.. What a sweet thang to say. Maybe next year. New record in MAY!!" Speaking of the Pistol Annies, I just found out that they'll be coming to the brand new casino near my house (it's only 10 miles away) in June. To put it in perspective...the closest that any big stars ever come is either Minneapolis or Des Moines, and it's a 4-5 hour drive to both places. We had Sawyer Brown and Big & Rich come to the new casino last year but the Pistol Annies? Color me shocked (and excited!)

I'm loving the sound of "Oh Pioneer." I've always been a big fan of that time period and I'd just love it if that song were to be a future single and have an old time music video to match. Oh, I would just be ecstatic. But, I'll just stick with being super excited to hear the studio cut for now. April needs to get here sooner!

Between the album cover and the song titles and the collaborations, this is the first time I'm intrigued by Brad Paisley since his "5th Gear" album.
That album cover is very unique and creative. I love it. I like the deluxe edition cover even better.
