Is Kpop finally coming to America? I sure hope so....under cool new music.
When I play the song on mediabase I dont hear the snoop dogg version...thank god. Maybe they are just using him for some exposure? It reached top100 iTunes back when it was released.

Yay! Asians need to make more impact on the charts (and I don't mean the American pop stars who are partly Asian). Charice was the closest with "Pyramid".

It sounds like a dated PCD B-side tbh.
I'd like a group like this to get a huge hit on US radio but this isn't the material which will do that.

It sounds like a dated PCD B-side to be honest.
It really does.

If Kpop is gonna do anything in the US it won't be with this song. Perhaps if they make a song that sounds like the epic intro of the video. Or maybe an English version of Gee.

K-pop is never going to work in the US because, by and large, it's just a rip off of whatever was hot here a couple years ago. This song is a great example.
And, really Snoop Dogg? Come on.

I kind of like this, but I can't see it working in the U.S. right now.

I love this. Still don't think it will do anything though. It's like a mix of Hollaback Girl and a PCD song.
But on the flip side, the video is good and they sing very well. I hope it will be enough to pave the way for future releases of more up to date material.

I've thought for a while that Asian pop will be one of the next big things as this decade progresses. I agree with everyone who thinks this song sounds over five years out of date, but it's definitely getting closer to something that could be a hit internationally.
As a side note, do they always look that bored in their videos?

I believe the remix being serviced to the US Top 40 is the Clinton Sparks and Disco Fries Remix which now features Snoop Dogg. Here is the HQ:

Awful song.
2NE1 is the only k-pop artist that has a chance of making it in the US.

The song is okay. but either of these songs in English will do better: "Genie" is a rip-off of Dineyra's "Raqsga tushgin" "Run Devil Run" is a rip-off of Kesha's song which was international bonus track off her first album. Question: What's Korean about 'K-Pop'? Answer: Nothing, not even the name. The term 'K-Pop' is a rip-off the term 'J-Pop' .

Except the first song you posted was recorded without obtaining permission/rights from Universal Music, thus is a plagiarized version of Genie.
Ke$ha was merely the demo singer for Run Devil Run (Yes, that is a demo). The song was not the international bonus track off Animal, "VIP" was.
Nice try though.
And,
No.
