Is She Wolf's spincrease just a fluke, or is it actually getting a second shot at radio? This is my favorite Guetta song, I was baffled when it didn't become a huge smash the first time around.

I think this would be it's 4th shot, cause it gained a few spins immediately after it became big in the UK, than it dropped down, than it regained & hit the top 50, than dropped down, than a couple of months ago it was up 80 or so spins for a couple of weeks, than I think it dropped down again & now I think this is 4th time doing this, but it's going up around 80 spins a week again, may be the strangest song movement I've ever seen on any updates for under the top 50, Crazy.

Who would've guessed a song would do this, Great song though, perfect follow-up to one of the best songs of all-time (Titanium), I think this could end up becoming a smash in the US this time around.

Aren't the most recent spin spikes for 'She Wolf' from some dance show that's syndicated on radio? OHP maybe?

Aren't the most recent spin spikes for 'She Wolf' from some dance show that's syndicated on radio? OHP maybe? Might have been due to the fact that in the past week it has gotten at least 2 spins from 36 stations that it didn't have spins on last week.

I'd love to see She Wolf take off, but I'm not getting my hopes up, especially not while Play Hard is still new and climbing. If PH smashes, maybe SW will get the support necessary for a re-release, but it seems pretty clear based on its history it's not going to do anything on its own. =/

But a smaller one that's not played by the majority of the radio panel (which I think OHP is, doesn't that only get played by 35-odd stations?)

The biggest station that OHP is played on is KXXM-FM in San Antonio. The rest of it's stations are very small or aren't on the official panel.

I'm talking spins here, it doesn't matter the size of the stations playing the song. If it's a syndicated play, then it'll register a spin from every station that plays the radio show. So if 'She Wolf' was played twice during a show, and that show was broadcast on 36 stations, that's 72 spins registered all up. Now there may well be a station here or there still giving it some kind of airplay, but a dance radio show would be enough for 'She Wolf' to spike the way it has.

Somebody needs to make sure Closer hits the Top 40 and beyond. C'mon people! I think L.A. Story needs to. I'm really liking Mike Posner's new music. Closer will considering that alternative songs are so slow on pop, just look at how long it has taken Sail to get where it is, that song is over 2 years old.

"Blurred Lines" #1 until September? =/ I mean I like the song but that's too much imo.
What about "We Can't Stop"? I think that (and Clarity.. maybe) have potential to dethrone BL.

"We Can't Stop" is below "Love Somebody" and "Same Love," so there's no way it'll get up there before they do. Especially since all three are moving at roughly the same pace. "Clarity" probably won't hit #1. It's going to run out of steam really soon and most likely won't even get past "Radioactive" and "Get Lucky," settling for a #4 peak, which isn't bad at all. "Love Somebody" is the next closest contender for #1. It's 6945 spins behind #1, which is quite a large gap. Looks like "Blurred Lines" will be at #1 for quite a long time. At least another 4-5 weeks, I'd say. Unless "Blurred Lines" hits a sudden brick wall and drops faster than "Get Lucky" or "Radioactive," but I doubt that's going to happen.

I refuse to believe something as dreadful as "Love Somebody" could hit the top.
Looking at the next climbers:
I think "Treasure" could possibly be a #1 contender. I'm still not sure about that stalling it did just outside the top 10, but Xiivi's theory of it being held back by the label as not to contend with the current top three seems plausible. It's still not gaining that strongly, but as long as it keeps on with good updates it won't have much competition for once "Blurred Lines" falls. And if Maroon 5's hit streak was enough to get "Daylight" to #1 despite mediocre sales (and being shit) I don't see much reason for Bruno's even better streak to fail with a well-selling song.
"I Need Your Love" will probably level out around the same place as all his tracks have done so far. He's really going to need better sales for CHR to take him higher.
"Same Love" has done an amazing job climbing so far but I still think it will be met with too much opposition to contend for #1. In addition to that I feel like it won't have much longevity either. I think it's caught on quickly in supportive markets as it's the kind of track that immediately gets a strong positive response from those who are passionate about the subject, but is it the kind of track people are going to want to hear played to death? It has a catchy hook, but it's too 'serious'. Once the current supporters get accustomed to the fact that a song like this was able to make it I think most people will get sick of it quickly. Especially in the areas that already have it in power - looking at its leaders on AllAccess it's already being played 100 times a week by 6 stations. So with both homophobia and a high burn rate working against it, I feel like it will end up peaking around #4 or #5 (which is still amazing for what it is, of course).
I'm still not sure what to think about "Cups" becoming a real hit. I've been thinking it's about to slow down for like the past two months, lol. I really don't know where it will go from here.
I think "Safe and Sound" will peak around #6. I'd love for #1 but I don't expect it.
I think "We Can't Stop" has a better shot at #1 than all of the above songs bar maybe "Treasure". The only thing holding it back will be if it becomes too controversial for its own good, but I think it can withhold that. That being said I don't think it will be a huge #1 like "Blurred Lines", "Mirrors", "Just Give Me A Reason", "Stay", "Can't Hold Us" and so on, but more of a low-spinpeaking #1 like "Come & Get It" or "Daylight" - but with overall impact closer to the first set of songs thanks to the video.
I doubt "Right Now" will get higher than #12-#13-ish. Maybe it could do so if it had a huge video that sparked up sales, but I'm not sure if it will even get a video altogether. I'm not bothered by "Right Now" like many seem to be but I still would have preferred if they released something else.
I'm a bit surprised "Crazy Kids" has even made it this far. I don't think it will go much further.
I'm not sure about "What About Love". I was hoping it would do well due to being different from everything else out right now, but if it's peaking already that's even worse than One Direction's last lot of singles. I'm hoping it picks back up but it doesn't seem likely to me as it doesn't have sales on its side and probably won't get good callout either. Sad day.
"Ooh La La" is a flop.
I'm glad "Glowing" has managed to stick it out this far as it seemed to be peaking back in like April. I hope it keeps going! I don't think it has too much life left in it, but a top 20 peak will be great.
I'll need time to decide on "Take Back The Night". I personally think it's more pop-friendly than "Suit & Tie", but that had a lot more hype behind it and so far "Take Back The Night" doesn't seem to be selling too well either. I think if they continue promoting it and don't interfere with it with another single, it could reach lower top 10, but I'm fully expecting another single or something thrown out.
"Holy Grail" will probably go top 20.

Ooh can I copy Slizzard?! "Blurred Lines" is still gaining at a healthy pace, which is kind of shocking, to say the least. It should have fallen to below +75 in the daily updates, yet it conitunes to gain +100s every few days or so. It might possibly be a contender to break "I Knew You Were Trouble."'s SPS record, though to do so, "Blurred Lines" will still need to gain another 723 spins. Can it make it? We'll find out soon, I guess. "Get Lucky" and "Radioactive" both have met their peaks, I'm sure. Both will probably have lost their bullets by the July 28th chart. "Radioactive" will have, at least. "Get Lucky" could hold onto its bullet until the August 4th chart, but it's bullet on July 28th will be small. "Clarity" and "The Other Side" have both kind of fallen into each other and have begun to chart together, which isn't uncommon for pop radio. Many songs will follow each other up and down the chart only breaking away to either become its own hit entity or join another group of songs to chart with. "Clarity" and "The Other Side" have both probably reached near their limits as well. I see them peaking within the next two weeks, both songs settling down around 11000-12000 spins. They should be able to pass up "Can't Hold Us" and "Come & Get It" for top five peaks before something climbs ahead of them. "Treasure" has seen a remarkable turn around as of late. I too believe Xiivi hit the nail on the head earlier when he suggested that the label probably paid stations to not further it in rotation to allow "Blurred Lines" and "Get Lucky," two similarly structured and much bigger hit songs, to pass over it and peak before "Treausre" as to let "Treasure" possible score a higher peak than had it continued on with those two similar sounding hits. "Treasure" definitely looks like a top three contender to me. Soon it will leap frog "Clarity" and "The Other Side," pushing to number four. Then as "Radioactive" and "Get Lucky" begin their decay, "Treasure" should get past them as well. So a peak at number two seems very likely to me. Then it will become a battle for number one with "Love Somebody." "Love Somebody" too has recently gained a lot of power and strength behind its gains as it passes "Cruise" to enter the top ten today. The good news for "Love Somebody" is that there's not much competition ahead of it besides "Treasure," as mentioned earlier. The crazy part, though, is that is leads a vicious pack of songs in the 11-20 range. The songs in this range are all gaining at pretty much the same pace and all look to have shots at entering the top ten. "Love Somebody" is lucky enough to be the leader of this pack, so it should escape the bloodbath that is brewing in this region. As I stated earlier, I see "Love Somebody" and "Treasure" battling for #1 after "Blurred Lines" dies away in roughly a month's time. So this brings me to the 11-20 region. This area is HIGHLY active at the moments. I can't recall ever seeing this region this active before! The song only has two songs that are not increasing: "Cruise" and "Just Give Me a Reason." "Reason" looks to go recurrent this weekend. "I Need Your Love" will probably follow suit with "Sweet Nothing" and wind up peaking just outside or just inside the top five. This is pretty much the favored region for the dance producers as "Clarity" will most likely peak in this same area and join many other David Guetta and Calvin Harris hits that pettered out in the 4-6 area. Next up is "Same Love." The follow-up to two of the biggest pop hits of the year: "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us." Piggybacking off of the hype of those two songs alone and the hype the song has itself, I say top five is definitely happening, but I think it will actually peak at #3 behind "Love Somebody" and "Treasure" simply because "Same Love" does not have the initial catchiness of the two former Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hits and it is also pretty controversial. Pop stations in more conservative areas are likely to play it less than they did the former two hits. Next comes "Cups." The little song that could. Could it go all the way? I really have no idea. The song keeps going back-and-forth between meh updates and really awesome updates like today. It's a wonderful miracle that it even made the top 40 to begin with, let alone reach the top 15! I see "Cups" definitely making it into the top ten, but from then on, it's a complete guessing game. "Safe and Sound" looks to be another strong top 5 contender. The song has garnered a lot of hype and love from pop listeners as it continues to reign at #2 over on alternative. I don't think number one is in its future, which saddens me because I love it so much, but I see it following a very similar patter to "Pumped Up Kicks" once it reaches the top ten. "Kicks" peaked at number three if I'm not mistaken. "We Can't Stop" continues to be another shocker in the charts. Today it scored the best update from the top 20 and could overtake "Same Love" for biggest bullet come Sunday. ("Take Back the Night" will hit its 8th day causing a huge blow to its bullet before then.) Miley is no stranger to the top ten, as she's had three former top ten hits before in the form of "See You Again" (#4), "The Climb" (#5?), and "Party in the U.S.A." (#1). "Stop," like "Cups," is a complete mystery to me for what it will do once it hits the top five. Good news is that it has very high sales. Today marks its (fourth? third?) week at #2 on Hot Digital Songs behind "Blurred Lines" and it continues to be strong in streaming. However, call out scores aren't necessarily the best and that could turn around to bite it as it moves into the top ten. Very hard to say at the moment. "Right Now" is also a mystery. Just a few days ago the song boasted a VERY impressive +200 update, but today doesn't even manage a +100. This isn't really a good sign and could indicate that it will become a victim of the Bermuda Triangle of the chart. Many songs have reached the top 15 even at strong paces, but get brick-walled and don't manage to reach the top 10. Latest victims of this curse include "Va Va Voom," "Pound the Alarm," "The Way," "#Beautiful," among others. Sometimes if the chart is a bit weaker with hits, the songs caught up in this deadly web can manage to slip into the top ten by accident like "Alive," "C'mon," and "22." "Right Now" suffers from lower sales numbers than what's typical for a song with this amount of airplay and its call out scores are not very great. Many Rihanna fans have been against the song's release as a single, and in some countries, it looks like "Right Now" will get scrapped completely for "What Now," a pop/rock and r&b infused ballad, rather than this upbeat David Guetta produced dance pop track. I, for one, think "Right Now" will die out before it reaches the top ten (and I've been predicting that ever since it was announced as a single, FYI). A #12 peak seems... right. "Crazy Kids" continues to show impressive signs of strength as it moved into the top 20 after struggling to do so for so many weeks. Ke$ha has been suffering several setbacks this era, so a top 20 placement for "Crazy Kids" is something for fans to be excited about. Especially since entering the top 20, the song has shown several signs of life. This week, the song earned 13 new adds, which could be signaling a sudden burst of energy to come soon. I would really like to see "Crazy Kids" become the underdog and mange to reach the top 10, but I'm going to go ahead and predict it will follow "Right Now" and fizzle out in the 11-15 range. Which, for Ke$ha's predicament, isn't too shabby. "What About Love" doesn't even know what it's doing, so far be it for me to predict where it's headed. "Ooh La La" seems to be on its last leg. With "Reason" going recurrent, the Smurtney track will enter the top 20 come Sunday, but once it does, I see it performing similarly to another popstar's recent soundtrack single, Taylor Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale," which fought for a peak of #19 and died off quickly. "Glowing" continues to impress me with its longevity. Get this: the song is the tenth oldest track in the top 50! :O The only songs that have been inside the top 50 longer than "Glowing" are "Can't Hold Us," "Clarity," "Mirrors," "Cruise," "I Need Your Love," "Cups," "Just Give Me a Reason," "The Way," "Heart Attack," and "Lego House." ("Sail" is extremely old, yes, but hasn't been inside the top 50 for too long.) I see it being sucked into the top 20, but not really going anywhere after that. Similar to "Lego House" earlier this month. Below those songs, I see a few songs making big gains. Of course new Justin Timberlake song, "Take Back the Night," continues its massive gains and soon it will hit its 8th day update, which shouldn't be all that bad. Roughly around -500, with it returning to +100s and +200s the next day. It's coming up fast. "Holy Grail"'s update today was surprising to me because of how it has been doing recently. But it doesn't shock me either because I just can't see pop latching onto "Holy Grail." I'll take this as a sign that it will probably reach the 18-22 region quickly and then reverse and go the other way like many high profile releases tend to do. See: "Give Me All Your Luvin'," "Gimme More," "Never Again," "Russian Roulette," etc. Then a surprise hit in the form of "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey! This is her first top 40 entry ever, so I really can't say what it's going to do at this point, but it's going really strong. Good for it, I guess. The only other immediate hit below that looks to be the new Taylor Swift single, "Everything Has Changed," which will likely see its first +100 update tomorrow. That one looks to be headed straight for the top 20, I believe. After that, it's too soon to tell. A few other songs I think we should keep our eyes on include "Gone, Gone, Gone,," "Still Into You," "Sail," "Outta Nowhere," "Acapella," "First Time," "Sweater Weather," "American Girl," "Miss Movin' On," "I Choose U," and "Pretty Brown Eyes."

Nick that's a CURE for the 98Degree weather that's going on ALL WEEK I don't know why, but when I first saw this, for some reason I thought you we're referring to the band 98 degrees, but now I see that referral was way off. Well that's just a sign that the HEAT In Ohio has HIT U HARD ??? I'd RATHER see Color Me Badd comeback with a new single than refer to those clowns. Exhibit A..their "comeback" travesty "Microphone" So drink PLENTY of fluids, stay indoors & CRACK mediabase to give us ALL chart access

Sorry Austin, just having a lil' summer fun (Too horrible to have it outdoors) Side note...will the posts that are as long as a SHORT NOVEL continue??? Lets' poll that

Wow those were interesting walls of text to read. :)
Oh well, "Blurred Lines" could be a contender for longest running #1 on CHR in the 2010s (or tie) a record held so far by "One More Night".

Safe and Sound had really great call out scores the last time I saw. Pop really loves the alternative wave right now it seems, can't wait to see "Sweater Weather"s scores sometime soon.

I'm gonna copy both Lozzy & A$AP Au$tin & do one: Blurred Lines I think could still go all the way & become the first song to crack 17,000 spins. However, if it is to reach that many spins, it would probably be #1 for at least another 7 weeks or so, since no song is really stepping up. Honestly, I don't see Treasure hitting #1, I see it peaking at #3, Love Somebody has a chance but I only see it peaking at #3 as well, I can see Get Lucky & or Radioactive in the top 2 for another 6 weeks. By then I can see We Can't Stop & Same Love will be challenging for the top spot. I can see each of those then spending a week at #1.
Honestly I'm shocked, although I love the song don't get me wrong, about Glowing's longevity, I mean we're talking 14 weeks in the top 50 & it's peak bullet throughout that time, only +417, that's special for a song to have that much of a longevity, if it eventually hits top 10, and still be gaining around 40 or 50 spins max a day. Whenever JGMAR, Cruise & Mirrors become recurrents, it may have it's shot, their are only 2 other songs I can think of off the top of my head that have had this much longevity, and they are OM&M's Little Talks & Three Day's Grace's Never Too Late, I guess it's never too late for this too eventually hit top 10. It is the type of song you would think would hit the top 10, I mean, isn't it?
I don't see Ooh La La getting anywhere past #16, it would take a miracle imo, for it to get there, but I think it'll peak at #18 & die from there.
I see Right Now continuing to crack +1000 bullet a week, until it gets around 8 or 9000 spins. I think it will peak at #6, so I project it will die very soon after it gets to that range.
I don't see Take Back The Night cracking the top 10, it just sounds like too many other hits did back in the 90's & 80's, honestly I don't see it getting past maybe #13.
I can see Outta Nowhere, potentially coming outta nowhere. I can see it down the road contending for the #1 spot.
What About Love honestly is the hardest song to predict right now, I can see it topping out around 7,000 to 7500 spins. I really don't see it going past 8000.
I see Everything Has Changed eventually cracking the top 10 & possibly becoming a #1 hit.
I Need Your Love I can see peaking about 5 or 6 weeks from now, I'd guess around #8.
Also, I think Clarity will could possibly become a #1 contender of the future, but at this point, I highly highly doubt it.
Safe & Sound, honestly I don't see it getting very far past from where it is right now, expect it to peak around #12, due to the long list of songs around it that are bulleting.

I hope Nikki Williams doesn't release a new song while Glowing is purging, cause that could really have an effect on it's longevity.

I think that some of the big songs ahead will be: Pitbull ft. Danny Mercer - Outta Nowhere Avicii - Wake Me Up Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran - Everything Has Changed

Am I the only one who can't get into Justin Timberlake's new material at all? Such a shame because I loved his first two albums.
I just realized I do not like 8 of the songs in the Top 10.
It's great to see that Anna Kendrick has a shot at the Top 10.
I really hope "Outta Nowhere" doesn't flop because it's one of my favorite Pitbull songs.
