I wish I would've thought of that quicker. I'm a 9x platinum member. Considering 21 should be reaching that status any day now, it would've been perfect! Darn. :(

"In Paris," "Tonight Is the Night," and "We Found Love" should all go recurrent tonight. "Rack City" should be purged. "Levels" is in the air on whether it will be purged or not.

That said, our top 40 debuts this week should be "Eyes Open," "Boyfriend," "Dance Again," and "Young Homie."

Top 50 debuts will include "Boyfriend," "Dance Again," and "Back in Time" for sure. The replacements for the recurrents/purged could be: "Birthday Cake," "Turn All the Lights On," "Can't Stop Me," "Better Than I Know Myself," "Burning Up," "Heartbeat," and "I Won't Give Up." It's hard to judge with our last below 50 update being last Tuesday.

Yes. I've seen that too, but it's strange that Outasight's 'Tonight is the Night' wouldn't go recurrent as well.

If memory serves, though, "It's Gonna Be Me" is the most recent one to date.

Both wrong. O-Town hit #1 in 2001 with "All Or Nothing". They appear to be the last boy band to top the pop chart.

WHAT?! No. Way.

This is just getting ridiculous. This should be a gigantic red flag to radio to quit playing songs so much. It takes them too long to fall out of the top 10 nowadays.

I'm hoping it's not true since "Tonight Is the Night" didn't go recurrent. Either it's not true or there's an extra rule involved. Like maybe it has to have been losing spins for three weeks. (Like country.)

Looks like it's not restricted to Pop either. A 50/10 rule was already in place on Alternative (and has been since September 2010), but "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant has enough spins to still be in the top 15 and was just yanked after 37 weeks.

Agreed 100% on 194 spins being asinine. Spin totals in the 200s and 300s were already cheapening the meaning of having a top 50 hit, and now we're getting sub-200 totals. Have they not noticed what has happened to the AC chart by adding so many recurrent rules? I think adding more strict recurrent rules makes stations drop songs slower in the long run, not faster, but that's a discussion for a different thread.

Did it get posted somewhere else? I don't see an evening update here and AllAccess hasn't updated yet and the Mediabase chart only shows top 40 so help me out and tell me where I can see this update. Please?

Hi guys, this thread is very interesting I was looking for radio updates and I stumbled upon this lol :)

Do you guys know why Justin Bieber's new single is getting these massive updates and when they're gonna stop? I mean they're too big and it seems to me like a deal going on...

Oh and where can I see the Alternative and HAC updates? Thanks a lot!

I agree. The chart is so slow. I don't mind the new recurrent rule, regardless of the spins at the bottom of the chart being low.

However, I do think it takes away from the accuracy of the chart that there are songs like "Good Feeling" that are still nearly Top 10 in airplay but don't appear on the chart. But whatever. Mediabase doesn't get published on R&R anymore anyway.

I just wish this rule change would actually encourage radio to move on from songs they've had in rotation for several months already.

^The switch to a recurrent rule of below 15 didn't help promote that; so I don't feel a recurrent will of 10 will either.

They aren't posted daily on Pulse (as far as I know of), but you can go here and select 'Alternative' or 'HAC' from the options at the top. :)

Yesterday's final update was week 21 for Outasight. By all rights, he should've gone recurrent. I'm guessing that, in addition to 20 weeks on, a song may need a few "down" weeks before it's removed (?). Since Outasight just lost his bullet this week, that's, probably, why he was immune to removal.

Found the new rules!

For top 10 hits, 20 weeks/below #10.
For non top 10 hits, 2 consecutive weeks of losing spins after 20 weeks on chart.

This is why "Tonight Is the Night" was not sent to recurrency last night. This was only its first week of losing spins.

This new rule also applies to alternative and rhythmic.
