Wow Anti-Hero isn’t eligible to go recurrent until 3/12. If she continues free-falling, this could be the first #1 song to do its entire chart run without going recurrent since LWYMMD. Now, let’s be real here, there is no way it’s gonna fall out of the Top 40…if anything its bleeding should start to cease once it falls out of Top 10. |

EDIT: As to Leo's post, technically the new music is right there. Radio at large needs to actually get on board instead of a select few stations having to do all the heavy lifting to prop these songs even this far up. What was the last Active Rock hit to even go Top 40. I don’t think Sound of Silence, Medicate, or Zombie made it. |

It's looking majorly like Ghost is going to take over from Johnnie as a record low top 40 hit, possibly with less than 300 spins. This is getting even wilder! What was the last Active Rock hit to even go Top 40. I don’t think Sound of Silence, Medicate, or Zombie made it. Would it be Shinedown? They had that 1-2 punch of "Second Chance" and "If You Only Knew" in 2009/2010. Or perhaps Kings of Leon? "Use Somebody" doesn't strike me as an active song, though, and "Sex on Fire" missed the top 40. Seether's "Careless Whisper" cover also barely scraped the top 40 back in 2009. So it looks like maybe 2009/2010 would be the answer. Unless something else I'm forgetting charted well on active. Did KONGOS chart on active with "Come with Me Now"? Edit: I just checked the thread! Yes it did! So "Come with Me Now" appears to be the last time a song charted well on active and made the top 40 on pop. (Actually appears to have made the top 20 on both formats.) |

I think the Special remix will likely keep Ghost at 41 this week. With such low counts, I think it’s probable Special can hit top 40 after the first few days. **edit: whoops, forgot we’re going to have three recurrents this week, so Ghost should still make it unless Miguel jumps it, which seems unlikely at this point. |

Also "Thunder" made it to the Top 30 of the Active chart as well, but I think both songs are a stretch to call "Active Rock," especially the latter. |

Johnnie's already been top 40, he should get ahead of Loud Luxury tomorrow to get pulled up to a new peak of #38. Ghost can be pulled into #40 if they just stay put, which it looks like they will do (if anything was gonna have a big splashy weekend debut it would've happened today and since there was only Lizzo, they're safe). SZA should be back in the top 50 after recurrents, and we'll also see Zara Larsson most likely (already top 50 on All Stations). I'm expecting (G)I-DLE to be purged this week since they weren't last week, which means there'll be 4 songs going tomorrow - and past SZA/Zara, the other two potential entries could be anything.

Circo Loco is likely in the mix. I think Nicky was losing spins so may not be in contention anymore.
I think that tomorrow we officially hit the nadir. It looks like JVKE may go recurrent next week, but overall song turnover is going to slow way down, allowing singles with label support to build up and shove out the current bottom rung.

Flowers is a good song and I’m glad it’s doing well, but every 400-500+ update it receives is just making me more and more infuriated and baffled at the treatment of Midnight Sky.

"Super Freaky Girl", "Forget Me", and "Star Walkin" are going recurrent, pulling "These Nights", "Fallen Angel", and "Love From The Other Side" into the top 40. "Nxde" should be purged.
"Love From The Other Side" must now have the lowest spin count, ever, for a top 40 single.
