I changed my mind, and I think "Do You Think About Me" should be next. Followed by "Two Black Cadillacs", then "One Way Ticket" for next summer. I think "Cupid's Got a Shotgun" is an obvious hit though, and will probably be a single at some point.

I'm in the DYTAM camp for the third single.I think it'd make a great follow up to the ultra serious Blown Away.It's light-hearted and sweet. Then TBC and OWT for next summer. After that who knows,I hope we get a sixth single and if we do I hope GIG is it. another picture from the Canada get away...Carrie and her Coors :)  |

I used to love beer, but I later found out I was allergic. I drank and got really stupid.
I wonder if other people have the same allergic reaction. Hmmmm.

Do video's usually help digital downloads really that much? I believe after the video of Pink's new song it didn't move up at all, for example.
Another iTunes update: it's #41 top 40 right now, and #7 on the Country songs chart. Moving up very fast today.

Depends on the video. If it's a fantastic video, gets lots of buzz, lots of hits on Vevo/Youtube - then it's likely that the video will push sales a bit. I think in BA's case, it will help significantly if the video is as amazing as we are expecting it to be.

I'm not a huge Carrie fan but I enjoy some of her music (well the poppier sounding stuff)
Are they really not going to try and get play at any other formats?
I bought Blown Away the second I heard her perform it awhile back. I think it could get a decent amont of love from Top 40 and Adult Top 40.
Carrie's also one of those country artists that pop fans would pick up her cd because she's not considered too country by the General public.

What is with the sudden surge? It is just from the hype of the yet-to-be-released music video? I do think it's a little suspicious that the song is #30 on iTunes with no promo, or sufficient airplay. I'm always skeptical of songs just soaring on iTunes so rapidly when there's nothing that's propelling them. I think this should easily crack the top 15 on iTunes once it picks up on radio. That's clearly their plan. Perhaps if it cracks the top 10, it might even become a crossover hit. |

Also, I think the weather freak in me wanted to see the house actually torn apart by the tornado and a more detailed ending; however, I have quite a few comments but need a few more views to digest it. I agree with a few of you. I wish we had actually seen the house go down. I also feel like the way the video is set up almost makes it seem like they fought because he wanted to help her with her homework and she didn't want it. I know we are supposed to infer a lot more happened, but it seemed like a bizarre scene to start a video where you are basically letting your Dad die.
