^^ Love that line in the review as well. Carrie still hasn't peaked as a performer, since every era, she is better than the last. Those HQ CMA Fest performances are just perfect, where one can see how she engages the crowd with her vocals, delivery, facial expressions, etc. Entertainer of the Year nominations for 2013 should be guaranteed at this point.....

Carrie was absolutely INCREDIBLE last night! Best show I've ever been to! You guys are really in for a treat when your show comes around! ;)
Also there was a slight change in setlist last night: She sang "Jesus Take The Wheel" by itself and she sang part of "Thank God For Hometowns", but I doubt TGFH will be sung anywhere else. It was special for the Nashville show.

Brad and Carrie's friendship is amazing. I love Carrie and Mike, and Brad and Kim. However, Brad and Carrie would make the perfect couple imo... Not to mention the fact that they would yield some seriously good-looking and talented children.

^^ I am not a fan of 'Sweet Emotion'- Carrie's rendition or even the original. Although it seems to be a fixture in her setlist for the fall tour, I am still hopeful that by my show in December she switches it up for another song.

If she has to do a Coldplay cover, I'd rather it be "The Scientist." It's just as pretty as "Fix You" and not covered nearly as often.

The more I listen to it, the more I can really appreciate "Forever Changed"'s place on the album. Simply beautiful.

I agree about Forever Changed. It is quickly turning into one of my favorite Carrie songs. I love when her voice is soft and warm. I also love the falsetto in the chorus. She has some of her best vocal moments of the album on this song imho. Also I agree with Carrie that the song is beautifully written.

Carrie plays Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin tonight. Essentially, it's just a suburb in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but the arena is located in Ashwaubenon. Carrie didn't play any Wisconsin venues during the Play On Tour, so there isn't any box office score data to compare it to. :)

Carrie sings that song like she wrote it. Damn she's good. I'm going to start an argument here, but she sings that better than Chris. I'm just sayin.

Tonight, Carrie plays Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Target Center. She didn't play Minneapolis on the PO Tour. Tour box office numbers with no comparison available to a show from the PO Tour: Sept. 22, 2012: Louisville, Ky., KFC Yum! Center; 10,069 of 10,538 (96%): $593,576 Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TennesseeOctober 13, 2010 8,152/8,152 - $411,106 Sept. 23, 2012: Nashville, Tenn., Bridgestone Arena; 9,856 of 10,023 (98%); $591,096 Gain in audience. Webster Bank Arena (formerly the Arena at Harbor Yard) in Bridgeport, ConnecticutMarch 16, 2010 6,724/7,284 - $329,770 Sept. 15, 2012: Bridgeport, Conn., Webster Bank Arena; 6,232 of 6,426 (97%): $378,872 Decrease in audience. Sovereign Center in Reading, PennsylvaniaMarch 11, 2010 6,489/6,489 - $321,375 Sept. 20, 2012: Reading, Pa.; Sovereign Center; 5,535 of 5,883 (94%): $329,633 Decrease in audience. Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New HampshireNovember 6, 2010 8,487/8,487 - $421,039 Compared to Friday night's showing:
Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire September 14, 2012 11,334/11,770 - $567,865 Those numbers turned out to be false. Real numbers: Sept. 14, 2012: Manchester, N.H., Verizon Wireless Arena; 7,944 of 8,133 (98%): $476,254 Decrease in audience. DCU Center in Worcester, MassachusettsMarch 21, 2010 8,178/8,178 - $397,590 Sept. 19, 2012: Worcester, Mass. DCU Center; 6,073 of 6,366 (96%): $373,018] Decrease in audience. Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode IslandMarch 15, 2010 8,075/8,075 - $389,495 Sept. 17, 2012: Providence, R.I., Dunkin’ Donuts Center; 6,114 of 6,388 (96%): $377,554 Decrease in audience. Overall, a meh start. Nashville had a nice gain, but no sellouts. Louisville had a great turnout. I'm not concerned, though. The PO Tour started out this exact same way, of 6-8k-sized crowds. None are below the 90% capacity mark, which is great. Expect bigger sales as the tour continues, especially during the holiday season in November & December. :)

I love that Fix You performance. I am so OK if Carrie's next tour is in front of 2000-3000 people in an intimate setting (even smaller...no bells and whistles needed)!

^^ I also have no concerns about her tour numbers. She also will be playing the biggest and most high-profile venues of her career during this tour (Staples Center, United Center, etc.). I also am a bigger fan of the theatre venue, purely for fan/selfish reasons.

One of the venue's manager explained that the stage is immense and limits the number of seats available without obstructing the view of the audience. The larger the venue, the higher the number of tickets made available. Nashville and Louisville both had greater seat sales and while not sold out they came pretty close. Louisville 10,069 of 10,538, Nashville 9,856 of 10,023...but these venues can hold more than 10,538 and 10,023 but the stage setting blocks out all the back and sides of the stage. So while the first couple of concerts had lower seat sales they still were pretty close to sold out and the gross earnings for each concert in most cases is more than what the previous tour earned.
