Considering Carrie has never even gotten a Country Album nod at the Grammys, I am not going to get my hopes up for an overall Album nod (though with the way voting works, in a way it may be easier for her to get in Album). I am just hoping for Country Vocal and Country Album nods. SH---7X, CR---almost 4X, PO, over 2X, and now BA, platinum. I would think one of these would've been nominated for a grammy by now. I know, sales are not an indication of quality, but to the listener, it is. Come on grammy voters, BA for the nod.

^ CR is far from 4x platinum, it has sold a bit less than 3.3 million copies.

^ CR is far from 4x platinum, it has sold a bit less than 3.3 million copies. My point wasn't about exact numbers, but more about the selling consistency and overall Popularity of the CDs and subsequent singles. Picky much.

"BA" seems to be struggling at Hot AC. It's still at #50. Any theories? It needs to get going really, because in the next month or so holiday music will start to overtake the adult formats (AC more than Hot AC, though).

Yeah, her 16th on Mediabase. 13th on Billboard though (Don't Foget to Remember Me, I Told You So and Mama's Song peaked at #2). I believe she's the only female country artist to have 16 consecutive top 2 hits. "Mama's Song" peaked at #2 on both charts. I only count 14 #1's on Mediabase so far, and 12 #1's on Billboard. Both of those totals include "Remind Me" with Brad, but for Billboard I was only counting Hot Country Songs #1's, and not the Hot 100 #1 peak of "Inside Your Heaven". All of her songs except "Mama's Song" (#2) went to #1 on Mediabase, but both "Don't Forget To Remember Me" and "I Told You So" also peaked at #2 on Billboard, resulting in the difference of 2 between her MB #1's total and her BB #1's total. Come Monday, "Blown Away" will become her 13th #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs, and her 15th on Mediabase.

^^ It looks like her AMA streak will continue ! Does anyone know the answer to the other part of my question: How many country artists have 13 Billboard (or 15 Mediabase) #1 Country songs ? Her consistency and longevity with respect to sales, radio airplay, touring, and critical success gives me hope me for the future of mainstream music- at least the country genre.

Neally: I believe there are other country artists who have had more #1s by virtue of their seniority in the genre but the distinction with Carrie is that all her #1s are consecutive and no other country artist has that. If this is incorrect I'm sure someone more knowledgeable in the subject will correct it.

Neally, there's a thread in the country forums about #1 hits on page 2. George Strait has the most with 40. Dolly and Reba have the most for females; both 25.

BA started quite well on HOT AC but now it seems to stall in the 49-50 range. ???

So, actually Carrie will be tied for 37th when "BA" hits #1. By the end of this album era, she could have #32 all to herself. It's crazy that among the top 40, only 7 are female acts.
I didn't realize The Judds had so many #1s.

From that rank, we can say Carrie's average is two #1s per year... which apparently, could be the biggest average on the list... (don't have time to go through all of them, though)

MUCH more impressive box office scores than the first set we received. They're all increases in audience compared to the PO Tour's, too.

What's really amazing about Carrie's #1s achievement is the short time it took for her to get all those #1s in comparison to the others listed: Carrie Underwood: 2006-2012 Exactly: when folks make statements such as "Carrie's on her way to becoming a country legend", it is factually accurate based on her amazing consistency with respect to radio success (as evidenced above), album sales, touring numbers, and critical reception (industry awards and reviews).

Also evidenced by how consistently country legends seem to be singing her praises (Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Randy Travis, etc). She definitely seems to be well-respected amongst many country legends, not only just for her voice but for her artistry as well.

BA is now up to #24 again on the Hot 100, which was its original peak from 2 weeks ago. Hoping that it can crack the Top 20 since CMA rollout is coming around, as well as the song's peaking at the penthouse and its Platinum certification. Also, GG is featured o the new "Just Dance 4" video game. [bottom right hand corner]

Carrie received four nominations for the ACA Awards this year: Female Artist Single by a Female Artist (GG) Music Video by a Female Artist (GG) Collaboration (RM) Why didn't Carrie get a nomination in Artist of the year (but ZBB did)? Blown Away album debuted more than ZBB's new album and BA has outsold it by 300k. Carrie has had 2 top singles this year. While ZBB missed top ten with THE WIND. ??? ???

I'd say they didn't nominate Carrie as much as she deserved because she's constantly sweeping the awards and they don't want her to do it yet again, otherwise they might as well call it All Carrie Awards... still, not fair to her just because her fanbase is bigger and more loyal and active, if the nomination is due, they should've nominated her!!
