^ Great news, and just what the album needs to push past 1,000,000 around year's end. I hope, however, she performs something other than "Blown Away". I love the song, but let the world see another gem from this masterpiece! "See You Again" or "Do You Think About Me", preferably. Also wouldn't mind "Two Black Cadillacs" at all.

The AMAs are a broad audience, so I would definitely not go too country if I were her. "Blown Away" seems to be selling the album. "Two Black Cadillacs" could be cool with some nice staging. Of the non-singles, I think it would have the most impact. The other option to me would be "Cupid," but with a more rock arrangement.

Either perform BA or introduce and perform SYA as the next single. Don't go too Country at the AMAs. She has the chance to throw a great, multi-format-friendly song out to an extremely Pop-oriented audience, so giving them something as "Country bumpkin" as DYTAM wouldn't be the wisest of choices, IMO.

I bet she does "Can't Stop Loving You" with Aerosmith at the AMAs.

I would say do "Blown Away", but she did it at the Billboard Awards so I guess it would be nice to give another song some exposure. She could just perform a popular album track that everyone loves like she did with "I Know You Won't" at the 2009 People's Choice Awards. Maybe she should do "Good in Goodbye" for the AMAs?

Carrie & Brad did an interview with ParadeBrad, how do you think you two have evolved as hosts? "We were scared to death the first year, but we really have a good thing going now. Carrie’s got this graceful, beautiful, funny persona, and I’m sort of everything else!
"
How many outfit changes are you planning this year, Carrie? "As many as I have time for! I’ve tried on a million dresses. Luckily, Brad lets me have the bigger dressing room."
Brad, you’re celebrating a big birthday today. How do you feel about turning 40? "I feel pretty good about it! I remember when my dad turned 40 and thinking what an old fart he was, and here I am. But it’s a different day and age."
Carrie, what do you think about Keith Urban as a judge on American Idol? "I think it’s about time! There have been so many country artists to come from the show, so why not get a country-loving judge in the mix? He’ll do a great job."
What gift does Brad send Carrie every year before the CMAs? "Every year, I send flowers to Carrie with a card that says, 'Good luck — Don’t mess this up!' It's part of the ritual." I bet she does "Can't Stop Loving You" with Aerosmith at the AMAs. Could be a possibility, actually. If Aerosmith ever gets confirmed to perform there, then I'd actually bet on that. I don't think she should. Awards shows like these are big enough platforms to debut at large, so she shouldn't waste it with something that may not even get released.

Carrie's on the primary nomination ballot for Female Artist, Country Artist, and Album of the Year for the Peoples' Choice Awards. Vote here, and write her in for anything else.

Both, of course, Jack Douglas-produced albums. Another interesting thing about Music From Another Dimension is that you've gone out on a limb and done a song with country singer, Carrie Underwood. The "old school fans" will probably criticize you left, right and center for having done this and the younger more radio friendly audience will think it’s fantastic. So, how was it working with her?Tom: When that song was written... Without anybody sitting down and saying, "let’s write a country song." It went in that direction. Country is obviously a big part of rock n’ roll... country, gospel and the blues. And she’s the biggest Country star.Tom: She’s amazing. She makes great records and sings her ass off. She really is the real thing. What happened is that song ("Can’t Stop Loving You") took on that feel and we got very close to being done with the album. Steven heard that she was in town and he snuck out without telling anybody and brought her into the studio one night. It was supposed to be a night off and they recorded that vocal. We had talked about the idea many times before, but I thought, "she's great and I think it would be awesome, but is that the only thing that people will pay attention to?" We’re trying to make this major rock statement here and why risk it by skewing the attention that way? That was just me over thinking. In the end it came out really good and it’s a really good piece of music. I’m glad it’s on there and I hope people look at it as an example of our potential range as opposed to us stabbing out into other genres. puregrainaudio.com/interviews/interview-from-another-dimension-with-aerosmith-bassist-tom-hamilton

If Carrie does a duet with Aerosmith, I hope it's an addition to a solo performance. She needs to promote her own album/music.

Carrie just tweeted that she has some exciting news to announce tomorrow that will blow us away (pun intended). Perhaps they're announcing dates for the second leg of the tour?

That's the first thing that came to mind for me. Otherwise maybe the announcement of a concert DVD and/or special. OR she could just be announcing her performance on the AMAs. *Edit* Or a new single?

Even with all the Taylor invasion on iTunes, I'm extremely surprised Carrie has been able to maintain herself very well, sitting at #25 right now, with Blown Away. I think she could do something different with BA for the AMAs, or maybe even a medley between Good Girl, Blown Away and even the new single...

Seeing her a second time at the Vegas date. Also, the P22 Chorus covered BA. Not bad. The main girl kind of annoys me.

Then again, it could be some form of CMA promotion/tour date revealing promo. But, there's not even a confirmation that it's Carrie, so I doubt it.Not Carrie. There are tweets coming in from Nashville that her and Brad are doing a massive press conference in regards to the CMAs today. That, and David Wild just tweeted this photo of Carrie & Brad an hour ago:

With "Blown Away" falling but the holidays around the corner, I assume no Carrie single will be at country radio for the next 2-3 months. Outside of the CMAs, what is there to sell the album through the end of 2012?

Are you sure about that? That's a pretty new BMI Work #, as far as I can tell. I'm not an expert at stuff like this, but I know for all the artists I've followed on there, the work numbers start small (their older songs have smaller work numbers), and the number increases the newer the song. "Good Girl", for example, has a Work # of 13,780,364. "Two Black Cadillacs" is 13,988,814. "See You Again", since it was written for the Narnia movie, is 12,012,108. "One Way Ticket" is 13,077,883. "Wine After Whiskey", written for Play On, has a Work # of 10,420,432. "Cupid's Got A Shotgun" is 13,988,812. "Good In Goodbye" is 13,988,813. This definitely shows that CGAS, GIG, and TBC were all written close to each other and registered at the same time. Anything over 14 million is quite new...I've been tracking some new Keith Urban songs and they are all over the 14 million number as well. With "Blown Away" falling but the holidays around the corner, I assume no Carrie single will be at country radio for the next 2-3 months. Outside of the CMAs, what is there to sell the album through the end of 2012? Nah, they'll release a new single to radio well before the holidays. Most likely, we'll get something in the next 2 weeks, or within 3 weeks at the very latest. There are all kinds of country artists with November and December adds dates at radio, and pretty much all of those artists aren't as 'big' as Carrie is. Through the end of the year, so far we've got new songs by Love & Theft, Jana Kramer, George Strait, The Band Perry, Dustin Lynch, LeAnn Rimes, The Henningsens (new family trio on Arista-same label as Carrie), Tim McGraw, Lee Brice, and Kelly Clarkson all going for adds, with adds dates as late as December 17. I'd say Carrie's 3rd single will get a November 12 or maybe November 19 adds date.

It was registered on ASCAP a few years ago. I have it listed on my computer as a co-write from the Play On era. She was on an "un" kick at the time (Undo It, Unapologize, Can't Un-love You).
