"Blown Away" is where it's at... They just need to do something more than simply release it! What's the point of rehashing a deal with Arista NY if they're not going to do anything with it?
Maybe they have plans with a different song, "See You Again", I hope...

"Blown Away" is still #15 on the all-genre song chart. This song's longevity has been beyond incredible.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but has it ever left Top 40 since it first entered during its run as a single? I don't think that could ever be said for any other previous single of hers except for GG.

When this album was released, I was absolutely positive it would be the album that brought her to a higher level in the industry. It's so frustrating to me that Carrie could easily score crossover hits with this material, yet nothing is being done to make it happen. Yeah, the promotion has been exceptional, but she's missing out on a huge potential market by not expanding to other formats.
I really hope this deal with Arista NY takes care of it because I'd hate to see a project this amazing fail to reach its full potential.

Reproducing what I just posted in the TBC thread of the country forum: Adds date is November 26, per AllAccess. ! This is the radio edit. It is 4:01 in length, compared to the 4:58 album version length. All they really did was shorten the outro by quite a bit, but you still get to hear some of that good instrumentation/production as the song comes to an end. So TBC is on MPE now which means that the adds date here is really only gonna be a formality. There will undoubtedly be a few stations that will jump on TBC already this week. Not sure if it will chart yet on the next Billboard Airplay chart, given the intense competition at the bottom of the chart, but it'll definitely be charting soon, and before the adds date. |

It just popped into my mind that 48 hours from now, I'll be seeing Carrie live! No meet&greet this time, I got my "sorry, but the m&g for this location has reached full capacity" e-mail last week. However, I'm still pumped beyond belief!
