Perhaps it's Kelly Clarkson? Doubt it since she's in the process of releasing an album now, albeit a Greatest Hits album... A lot of great names are being tossed around! Another one I think of is Reba? If I remember correctly she mentioned creating another duets album in the future, did she not? Maybe I'm making that up but I think she did. I doubt it's Willie Nelson, but that's a possibility. Vince Gill is a great guess too! I would love for a Connie Smith album, but for some reason I don't think she's the one. I'm still sticking with ZBB, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was Vince Gill, since they're best friends and all anyway.

I'm going to guess Vince Gill If it isn't Vince, I'm going to be disappointed. The idea of Vince/Carrie doing a real duet is too good.

We can keep playing 'guess & check', but it's pointless. We won't know until the tracklist for someone's album comes out.

I can imagine the fan wars already w/ a Kelly/Carrie duet. "Kelly hit the highest note and sounded better!" "No, Carrie's vocals were far superior and dominant in the song!"

They are great on their own, but I'm not sure if they would sound great together tbh. Personally I'd want a Carrie/Vince Gill duet too.

It's like guessing who the duets were on Taylor's new album. Pointless? Oh yes, but it's fun to speculate and make wishlists of who Carrie should duet with.

Maybe it's a duet with Taylor. Two great singers performing a great song. What could possibly go wrong? Instant hit.

So what's the deal? I heard that a change in chart rules caused Taylor to steal a #1 single from Carrie. If so, that's a rip off. Does anyone know what happened?

Totally irrelevant to the question. Billboard introduced a new formula for Hot Country Songs that allowed airplay and downloads from other formats to effect the Hot Country Songs Chart. Since Taylor receives a lot of airplay from pop/AC/HAC, she'll dominate that chart. It came at the time "Blown Away" was about to go #1, but because "We Are..." was so popular at the time, "Blown Away" didn't hit #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. For a much better explanation, go check out the Country forum.

Duets albums are usually done by older singers who are essentially past their point of relevance, and the duets albums brings them back because they tend to work with younger artists. Look at Frank Sinatra, Lionel Richie, Tony Bennett, and Reba McEntire as examples.
With that in mind, someone like Vince Gill or Willie Nelson makes sense.

We still don't know which artist she will be having duet with, but the fan war has already started. :o Hopefully it will be Reba. Reba = queen of country Carrie = future queen of country Reba + Carrie = Perfection

Carrie will get something, I'm sure. She has always done very well there. I'm thinking Country Artist and/or Female Artist. But I don't think she has a chance against One Direction...

She got all her possible nominations this year, and (random, I know) is the only female nominated for favorite album. But Im not sure they used Twitter voting in 2010.

Got my tickets this morning for East Lansing in April! :) Got stuck in the upper level since nothing else was available, but I guess it's better than nothing. (Now I'm just hoping work or jazz band doesn't end up conflicting with that weekend.)
