I'm pretty shocked that the honorees haven't leaked yet.

The Grammy nominations are up online. She's got 1 for Best Country Solo Performance - "Blown Away." BA is also up for Country Song of the Year.

Seeing the other noms in the country categories, now I'm kinda surprised she even got a nomination.

Dang it's a big sausage fest in the category she's nominated for. Maybe that'll work in her favor. I'm a little upset Drunk on You didn't get nominated though...

Yeah, Carrie being the only female in Country Performance should help her.
It's so weird she got in there and "BA" got in Country song, but she didn't get in Country Album. Miranda did, though, but didn't get in anywhere else. I don't get it.

Grammys proving yet again to be very lame... it's disgusting how Carrie never got even a nod for Country Album...

At least her name is in there somewhere... I was doubtful she'd get any love. To get Vocal Performance over Miranda still shows she's getting some serious votes. Then again, how did Miranda's album earn more votes than "Blown Away" in the album category? Go figure!? Being the only female in her category, and considering her track record, she has a huge advantage, I think... They love Carrie, and with Taylor and Miranda not nominated against her (the only two to beat her in this category), she could very well win! I won't get my hopes up though, Hunter, particularly, seems to be the one to beat...

I'm actually quite surprised at Hunter's nominations. I was expecting him for Best New Artist, but not at all for Country Album or Country Solo.
I, too, am disappointed that Blown Away is not nominated for Country Album, but oh well. Hopefully at least the ACM's will give it some recognition. Hopefully all the men will cancel each other out in Solo Country Performance and Carrie can snag a win there. I don't know what BA's chances are in Song.

Considering the nominations, Hunter is a lock for a performance slot... wonder if Carrie secured herself one too!!
Also, had no idea Hunter's album was as well-received critically as it is, to gather a Country Album nod!!

Also, had no idea Hunter's album was as well-received critically as it is, to gather a Country Album nod!! Critical acclaim isn't the equivalent to receiving a nod for Country Album. A prime example of that is Lady Antebellum's Own the Night, which actually won last year. I'm honestly not sure how Hunter snuck into that category. It's spawned one hit and half the sales that Carrie's maintained w/ BA, so I'm not exactly sure how it got the nod over Carrie, but oh, well. I honestly wonder what it will take for the Grammys to nominate Carrie in the Country Album category. It's not like any pop or rock-leaning influences is voiding it because Taylor's Fearless won it and Speak Now was nominated last year, and she's had the successful chart runs, sales, and tours to validate reasoning for her efforts to be nominated.

WHAT THE F*CK , MAN.
BA (album) is snubbed again.
Uncaged - It's a good album. I don't mind it got nominated. Hunter Hayes - Good album. Jamey Johnson - WHO THE F*CK IS HE? HOW COME HE GOT NOMINATED OVER CARRIE? I never heard his name or his album or his single. Four The Record - SURPRISED? nah, country voters darling. The Time Jumpers - WHO THE F*CK IS HE / THEY ? HOW COME HE / THEY GOT NOMINATED OVER CARRIE? I never heard their name or their album or their single.
Miranda is a lock for this award.
Country Performance. Carrie is the only female in this category so Carrie has a big chance to win.
Country song. BA is a great song. But even if it wins, Carrie won't get the award. The songwriters will.

Mkay, so it seems like Carrie, Jason, Miranda, and Kenny are all locks.
Toby's there...please don't let him be one, too.

In Carrie's case, "Yea, your songs are killer, but your album is, well, kind of lacking". The Grammy decisions are an oxymoron.

Finally noticed that TBC is charting on the iTunes 200 -- #152 on the all-genre chart, #32 on Country. BA (song) is also at #55 on the all-genre chart, #9 on Country.

Cannot get over how Carrie's "Lie To Me Again" demo is fantastic... it's one of her best songs EVER and too bad it didn't go into Play On, it would've been a #1 for multiple weeks, for sure!! The lyrics are soberb and the melody and her vocals are such a stand out!! In a way, it sucks that some of her demos are leaps and bounds better than some of the songs that end up on the records...
