It could be cool if "Blown Away" was somehow joined with another song for the performance (a la Mary J Blige and how "Be Without You" was fused with "Stay With Me" a few years ago). Maybe "Independence Day" since they had a similar theme, but that seems a bit on the nose. Anyway, that would just make the performance more interesting for fans since we've seen her perform it a lot. On top of that, it's always cool to hear her sing a cover song.
I am definitely assuming we will get something different for the performance; "BHC" and "LN" both had different arrangements when she performed them.

Hunter Hayes is top 15 at Hot AC, top 25 at Top 40, and top 30 at AC right now with "Wanted." And he's been winning country awards. I fail to see why Carrie's label can't/won't push her songs more to crossover.

I see this being a factor in who takes this award.

Ken Ehrlich has been talking about the performances to multiple sources, and many of the song choices have leaked. I haven't seen him mention Carrie once. Weird.

She's been in LA for a few days now, and all we know of so far is that she had a dress fitting. She must be doing other stuff, though, or else why get to LA so early? Perhaps meetings for The Sound of Music?

Perhaps meetings for The Sound of Music? Maybe stuff for tour since it's starting up again next week? Who knows, but I doubt she's adding multiple projects onto her plate during Grammys week. She's a double nominee and is performing, and in the past, she's almost always attended the pre-Grammy gala hosted by Clive Davis (which is tomorrow night), so I'd assume she had multiple dress fittings this week -- gala, red carpet, performance, probably another dress after the performance since it's Carrie and her minimum per awards show is usually 3, rehearsals (we don't know if she's already rehearsed yet), etc. Who knows. We'll probably get word tomorrow of what she's performing on Sunday because all rehearsals should be done by mid-afternoon tomorrow.

I really hope she performs "Two Black Cadillacs". Most people have already heard "Blown Away" by now and since it's not on any charts anymore, it's not like it'd get a huge boost. It'd get a sales bump, sure, but I think a TBC performance will cause a sales bump for everything...BA (track), BA (album), and especially TBC itself. It'd be sort of a 'trickle-down' effect...for those who've been living under a rock for the past year, if they for some reason hadn't heard BA, a TBC performance might prompt them to check out the album it's on..
Just thinking out loud here. :)

I'm still hoping for a Blown Away/Two Black Cadillacs mashup. Best of both worlds. A girl can dream. ;)
Edit: Whatever she's performing, it will include a cello.

LOL! I'm not sure you can narrow down choices when it comes to cellos and country songs.

"Carrie Underwood RT'ed Handsome Ass ***I'M RACIST***" Cute.
Anyway, I want "Blown Away" w/ a full orchestra. That sounds like a real MOMENT.

This is bullshit. Every time I go to fucking Starbucks I run into 50 year old married men wearing bike suits and exploiting their grapenuts.

I hope it is TBC but knowing BA is the nominated song, I have a feeling it will be BA

Carrie rehearsed earlier this evening - no info yet on what song she did. Everyone seems to have a tight lip about it. Also, looks like Best Country Solo Performance will be presented during the TV broadcast, but Best Country Song will be presented during the pre-telecast. www.grammy.com/files/55pretel_020813_final.pdf

I'm sure she'll be singing "Blown Away", but who knows. I wouldn't mind a medley of BA, TBC, and Good Girl though.

I would love it to be an epic performance of TBC but it will probably be BA. I just would love TBC as everyone has already been exposed to BA through other award shows and TBC has not. This would be awesome to showcase and let everyone experience the edgier Carrie.

Happy it's BA. Sure, TBC needs a lift, but it would just be temporary. BA defines her this era, and this is the biggest stage for music.. so it fits.
