The ACM nominating voters must be shaking their heads after leaving out Blown Away from the single and song category after it just won the Grammy. Hmmm. It's like WTF. NO EOTY nod also? Really? Blake? Miranda? They had better years than Carrie? Wow. An AOTY nod for BA. They got that one right. 2 going on 3 number ones, over platinum sales in less than a year.

In other (better) news,Two Black Cadillacs has now entered the top 30 songs over-all on iTunes, at #30. Blown Away is #27.

Wow. She's a veteran now.
Underwood received her eighth consecutive nomination for female vocalist!

Pleasantly surprised she got an Album nomination. So thoroughly lost as to how "Blown Away" didn't make it into Song/Single category. And left off of EOTY again, it's just become rude. Is there something people in the industry know that the rest of us don't? It's just sad.

Well she'll lose FVOTY to Miranda, she'll lose AOTY to Taylor, and Blake and Luke are hosting the show.
Good enough reasons for me to not even bother watching. :)

Carrie tweeted, that she just saw a video that 'made her day'. Perhaps it's her way of telling her fans that she and her world are fine.

A lot of people were snubbed this time around; Kenny, Brad, Keith...... The country awarding industry is under new management.

At least she's still getting nominated... Fingers crossed for Female Vocalist??? Hahaha... Nothing would make me happier than to have her win AOTY and FVOTY as she should...but I'm not holding my breath.

miranda winning a 4th conscecutive fvoty award???? *puke*
id actually rather see taylor get that award rather than miranda winning an underserved award.
at least the acms had some imagination and nominated kacey rather than kelly.
at least carrie had some grammys recently.
its either shes a class a bitch to the rest of her peers, or she seriously pissed something weird on gary overtons cheerios.

id actually rather see taylor get that award rather than miranda winning an underserved award. I too don't need to see Miranda winning AGAIN!! But the idea of Taylor winning and receiving the Triple Crown Award next year makes it all even more undeserving!! I want Carrie to win this or I'll SERIOUSLY give up on Country awards!!

I could see voters thinkinking "BA" isn't country enough and snubbing it in Single and Song, but the EOTY snub literally makes no sense. Carrie had bigger radio hits, bigger album sales, a bigger tour, and a bigger general presence than Miranda last year. I would love for anyone who vote for Miranda over Carrie in EOTY to explain his/her vote. And did Luke Bryan even headline a tour?
Hopefully the reaction to Carrie's snubs will give her some support so that she at least wins Female Vocalist. Honestly, I'd rather her do well at the more prestigious CMAs anyway.

Random that the TS/Carrie feud stuff is popping up now. I can only speculate that a lot of people who vote for these things thought Carrie won too much, too early...especially with EOTY (and they're probably right). Granted, she definitely deserved a nomination this year.
It is nice to see her album get some love, even though I believe Eric Church has that won.

I can only speculate that a lot of people who vote for these things thought Carrie won too much, too early...especially with EOTY (and they're probably right). Granted, she definitely deserved a nomination this year. In years past, I would have agreed with this comment. However, as the years pass and Blake and Miranda continue to win award after award after award, it's becoming ridiculous. How many ACMs and CMAs have Blake and Miranda (especially Miranda) won over the past 3 or 4 years? A lot! If Miranda wins FV again, this would make four years in a row for her, which is more than Carrie's three wins; however, Carrie has done so much more. So, the argument that Carrie has won too much already no longer holds water for me. As far as EOTY, she has won the award twice at the ACMs. One year she won, I do agree that she probably wasn't the most deserving candidate. But, that was years ago. They shouldn't be punishing her for that now (especially since they aren't punishing Taylor for promoting herself to pop). Also, she's never even been nominated for EOTY at the CMA's. Where's the logic there?

Did you say that BA might not be country enough in the eyes of the voters? Do you think that too? If that's the case how in the world did TS We Will Never Ever....get on any list on a country award show. And that includes her pure POP album?

which would make her the best fv evah! *puke* with the rich, rich history that country music has regarding women, i find it so laughable she would go down as one of the best ever. at this point, even if its 2 years away from now, it wouldnt be so impossible that they would reward her her 5th straight fv. lololol
even on the years that she argubaly didnt deserve that win (which i completely disagree with, i think both her eoty wins are very much well deserved), she was still probably at the same level where blake is right now, and on a much higher level than both miranda and luke are at.

How come that never seems to affect Taylor? WANEGBT still got a video nod, and Red still got an album nod despite being primarily pop. I hope the lack of nominations for Carrie works in her favor when voters are deciding on FVOTY, but I could see it having the opposite effect as well. And I don't believe she'll fare any better at the CMA's, considering their track record with her over the last few years. I'll believe it when I see it. Even the year Carrie won EOTY that some say she wasn't deserving, she still did more than some of this year's EOTY nominees. There is no reason for them to have not nominated her this year. But oh well, there's nothing that can be done about it, and award shows aren't really that important at the end of the day anyway.

We shouldn't waste our time in dissecting possible reasons as to why she wasn't nominated for half of the awards she should've been because there's really no obvious rhyme or logical reason as to why it always happens at this point.
It's Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's world, and we're just suffering through it.

I feel like this is said all the time - hopefully the reaction to snubs will lead to more support at the next award show. I used to hope that as well, but it's clear that it's never going to happen. Plus... Looking at the results in the past few years, is CMA really that prestigious anymore? I think it's a combination of label backing AND strong management ties that is keeping the power couple dominations at country awards. Sony alone isn't strong enough, as evident by the snubs for a few big Sony artists. Perhaps with Grammys, all the politics within the country clique gets diluted by non-country voters, hence the love fest for Blake and Miranda isn't as over the top there.

Grammy voters have never drawn from the same crowd as the Music Row Mafia at CMA/ACM. Shania/Faith always did better with Grammys while Martina did better with the Music Row awards. Grammy is also more loyal to "their" artists long term, and Carrie is one of them since she's a former BNA. ACM/CMA is more like, once you're not the hot flavor of the month anymore, you're out of favor forever.

The tour started back up again tonight in Colorado Springs. According to various tweets, the only set list changes were: she cut "Sweet Emotion" and "Do You Think About Me" and added "Flat on the Floor". Also, the floating stage was apparently broken, so they didn't use that.

Cutting DYTAM signifies there's less chance of it being the next single. I have no problem with Sweet Emotion being cut as I never liked it for her cover song slot anyway. I was hoping she would add Wine After Whiskey to the setlist but I guess she really doesn't have a soft spot for it as I've never gotten the sense that she loves that song.
And yay at Carrie joining Instagram! I love IG and wished Carrie would join.

I don't find the snubs are very surprising. It's quite clear that the primary reason is label politics. Carrie and Miranda are both with Sony, and Miranda is preferred, which is why Carrie will repeatedly be snubbed. It would not be a surprise at all to me if Miranda wins the next two FVOTY and has a record for herself.

I love "DYTAM" as well. I haven't seen Carrie's show, but I can see where a sweet, soft song like "DYTAM" might not work in a big show, though. I hope it's still in the running to be a single, though.

Apparently she also cut "Thank God for Hometowns" and "Crazy Dreams". I wonder if they just cut the acoustic set short, since they couldn't do the floating stage? Seems strange for her to cut four songs and only add one.
