She's swapped "Remind Me" out for "See You Again" in her setlist, as expected.

I think this is one of my favorite performances of all-time. Yes of all time. I finally found it on youtube.
That last note at 4:51 :'(

How she stops at 4:46 and looks dead in the camera, then turns her head.
Beautiful, just fucking beautiful.

I still think her best live performance ever was when she did "Alone" for the first time on Idol.
Yes, she's had plenty of great ones, and the "How Great Thou Art" performance from the GNO special was right up there as well, but the timing, the vocals, literally everything about that performance was just an absolute homerun. I think the fact that it happened so early in her career and also what happened to her career afterwards just further proves that it's the one that really turned her into a superstar.
It's so surreal to look at her today and see how far she's come since that performance.

I think her iHeartRadio performance of "Alone" was even better than her Idol one, which was also fantastic.

Her "Alone" on Idol was definitely one of the biggest moments of her career. For a country bumpkin that was always so stiff, shy, and reserved to come out of the gates with guns blazing during that performance, the entire set was pretty much a showstopper. Her covers of "Alone" later on in her career just go to show how much she's progressed as a vocalist and emoter.
I don't think I could ever rank her best performances ever, but a few of them include...
-"Alone", Idol -"How Great Thou Art", ACM Girls' Night Out special -"Blown Away", 2012 Billboard Music Awards (it translated even better in person, too) -"So Small", CMA Songwriter's Series in Boston, MA -"Remember When", Grand Ole Opry (her voice was so sweet and soothing on this cover) -"Fix You", VH1 Unplugged (fucking beautiful) -"I Know You Won't", 2011 iHeartRadio Music Festival ...and a few others that I'm sure I'm forgetting about.

"Stand By Your Man", Grand Ole Opry 2006 "Neon Moon" - ACM Brooks&Dunn Concert 2010(?) "Before He Cheats" - Grammys 2008 I'm sure I'm forgetting so many too, but those are just a few more that come to mind.

My fav Carrie performances : -. Alone (Idol) -. Angels Brought Me Here (Idol) - They way she held the high notes for like 10 seconds is incredible! -. How Great Thou Art (ACM GNO and Opry) -. Blown Away (Billboard and Grammy) -. Neon Moon (Brooks and Dunn special) -. Fix You (VH1) -. Cowboy Casanova (AMA) -. Jesus , take the Wheel (Walmart Soundcheck www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvEYS5kvB9A)-. Temporary Home (tour. when she dedicated the song to the crew who died) -. Good Girl (CMT awards) -. Walk This Way / Undo It (ACM with Steven Tyler) I'm sure i'm forgetting many of her greatest performances, but those come in mind first.

I love the Alone performance she did at the fan club party many years back as well. I just watched that So Small (CMA Songwriters Series) and Fix You (VH1) performances recently. Her voice was absolute perfection!

I recall seeing a couple great "I Know You Won't" performances. I remember one specific "I know you won't" performance during the I Heart Radio Vegas show that was spectacular.

Carrie's "Alone" performance set the stage for what was to come for her. It's pretty surreal to think that Simon made an off-the-cuff prediction that turned out to be 100% true. I don't think anybody has shown the growth Carrie has since pre and post Idol, and no one ever will again.
A few of my favorite performances from her:
-I Know You Won't (2009 PCA) -Just A Dream (2008 CMA) -So Small (2007 CMA) -Jesus Take The Wheel (2006 ACM) -Temporary Home (2010 ACM) -Blown Away (2012 Grammys) -Good Girl (CMA Songwriters series) -Make The World Go Away (with Brad) -How Great Thou Art (Girls Night Out) -Last Name & DFTRM (Idol finale performances) -Bless The Broken Road (Stripped Sessions) -Fix You (Unplugged) -Undo It (CMT Awards)

Wow, sounds like they've really got the song down pat in terms of live performances. She sounds flawless!

^I have to agree with you there. Although I'm not happy with this choice (and have expressed that very loudly), her vocals are incredible. My favorite is the very ending "Gone, gone, gone." That's my favorite part of the recorded version because it's so haunting, and she nails it in that video. Since it's going to be a single, I would like to hear an acoustic version one day. I would like the song a lot better (though it still wouldn't be my favorite) if it was acoustic.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the Grammys performance of "Last Name" have they? I thought that was easily one of her best performances in terms of commanding the stage and just giving a really good show. I was filling out a 187 the way she killed that.

^ Agree. That is one of my fav performances from Carrie too.
The best part about having Last Name as a single was all the killer live performances it has brought us.

Yes, Last Name live is way better than the studio version. I especially love the way she did it on the Play On Tour, with all the vocal acrobatics near the end of the song.

'See You Again' is slowly becoming this era's 'Wasted' for me: the vocal and melody has a nostalgic feel, but the bridge.... So far though, the live vocals seem a bit off from the studio version, so I am glad she has the opportunity to perfect it regularly before the ACM Awards. I am most looking forward to this performance that night.

I remember when "Good Girl" first came out, she had some issues with it live, but it sounds flawless now. So I'm sure she'll perfect "See You Again" fairly quickly also. If that video from last night is any indication, she practically already has.
