"Sometimes" was the lead single from the Brand New Heavies' Shelter album. At this point, N'Dea Davenport had left the band and had been replaced by Siedah Garrett. This album wasn't as good as their previous albums, but "Sometimes" remains one of their finest singles. It became their biggest hit in the UK at the time, peaking at #11 in the spring of 1997, until their cover of "You've Got A Friend" replaced it later that year. It didn't fare nearly as well in the US, but it went Top 20 on the R&B chart.
"Sometimes" had wonderful remixes by Masters at Work and The Ummah, but I prefer the original version.
