We all saw this coming... Goes for adds on February 14.
"Feel So Close" peaked at #2 in the UK late last summer and also went Top 10 in Australia.
I really don't see this being a big hit here (and don't even think it's one of his better songs), but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Hmmm. If only releasing "I'm Not Alone" was feasible. I actually quite like this song, but neither this or "Bounce" seem like the kind of thing you could introduce an artist with. His voice just isn't great, and while it works on some of his songs, it's what prevents me from really loving this one and I think it could be a problem here. Although this and "Bounce", which I haaated, were both big hits in the UK so what do I know.
He's clearly still recording for his third album and I had thought he was cooking up something with a big, radio-friendly, female, American vocalist to act as the album's third single outside the US and his breakthrough within in, but apparently I was wrong.
Regardless, I'd still like to see it become a hit.

I like that he is a DJ that is singing on his own records. Unlike Guetta, Afrojack and the others who just name stamp themselves on to the song as a producer, Harris is actually singing as well as producing on this.

I don't think you could really call Guetta and Afrojack 'just name stamping' themselves on their records. In fact, they clearly do the vast majority of the work and then the guest artists stamp their names on it.

Could see it approach the top 30 in time possibly.

This is going to perform similarly to 'Without You', and 'Turn Me On'. I see top 10 for sure.

In fact, they clearly do the vast majority of the work and then the guest artists stamp their names on it. You could say that for any producer who is not singing on their record then. Why aren't all of Katy Perry's hits 'Dr. Luke feat. Katy Perry' or vice versa when its clearly the producer who has done most of the work? What is so different about these producers that they need the name stamp? I guess the credits these days especially with the EDM tracks just don't make sense to me.

Because (in theory, I'm guessing this isn't how all mainstream music works) Katy got Dr Luke in to flesh out her 'vision', a link in the chain on a story she's trying to tell on her album. It's (again, in theory), her music that he is helping put his spin on. David Guetta got Nicki Minaj (for example) in to do the same for his record. She didn't even write on "Turn Me On" and could (in theory) be replaced by somebody else and it would still be David's song on David's album. They get the name stamp because it's their song, their album, their vision. They were there first.
To put it more simply, David hired Nicki for his song, but Katy hired Luke for hers.

Pretty ballsy of him so go with a track without a feature. I have this weird thing with his voice... I actually kind of like it? Not his best, but I like it. I could see this making a few waves, but nothing huge.

Massive Top 10 hit in Australia, and sold triple platinum. This deserves to be a hit, it's so much better than all that Guetta stuff.

I actually really like his voice, and this is one of my favorites from him. I'd love to hear this on the radio in the coming months. By the way, is his album still coming in March, does anyone know?

I love this song! I'm glad the dj sings in this instead of just getting people to feature in his videos.

I was surprised when I got home to the US for Christmas and found my college-age cousins playing this non-stop. I definitely think it's going to be "big" in the US if you consider Afrojack's "Take Over Control" or Martin Solveig's "Hello" to be "big." I can see cities like New York and Miami and maybe even LA, Philly, and Chicago playing this to death while it gets no exposure at all in certain -other- regions.

OMG...this is hot. Tbqh I didn't know who he was before WFL came out and I can definitely tell his influence on that song based on this song. It's so different & I love it.

I can definitely tell his influence on that song based on this song. You could also tell his influence on Chris Brown's "Yeah X3" and Cobra Starship's "You Make Me Feel" as they both took sampled the instrumental from this #1 UK hit:

That's definitely one good thing that came out of WFL. The first time I heard that song, I was actually reminded of THIS song (which is a few months older).

"I'm Not Alone" is amazing, but in the UK at least it became SO big that you hear it in any cheesy club. I think that's why I now prefer "Feel So Close," "Flashback," and "You Used To Hold Me."

I love this song, but I don't see it being Calvin's breakthrough U.S. hit. I think he needs something with a featured artist for that. "Bounce" might work, but new material would probably be better suited.
