This week, Jon counted down the Top 20 favorite Christmas songs of him, his wife (or "lovely bride" as he refers to her) Sherri and baby Lexy. They actually did the show with him this week. Here is the chart:
1) The Christmas Shoes/Newsong
2) Mary Did You Know/Erin O'Donnell
3) Do You Hear What I Hear/Out Of Eden
4) We Are The Reason/Avalon
5) Reve Du Noel/Michael W. Smith
6) Happy Birthday Jesus/Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
7) Little Drummer Boy/4Him
8) O Holy Night/MercyMe
9) Angels We Have Heard On High/Bryan Duncan
10) The First Noel/FFH
11) Breath Of Heaven/Sarah Groves
12) Welcome To Our World/Chris Rice
13) Gotta Get Up/Rich Mullins
14) When Love Came Down/Point Of Grace
15) It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas/Bing Crosby
16) Christmas Is All In The Heart/Steven Curtis Chapman
17) Adoration/The Newsboys
18) O Come O Come Emmanuel/Third Day
19) Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer)/Nicholas Junas
20) Joy To The World/Anointed
Jon's Future Favorite:
O Come All Ye Faithful/Jeremy Camp
Is it me, or did Jon imply that a regular weekly countdown was coming up next week at the end of the show? I wasn't really paying much attention, but I don't remember him saying anything about the Top 20 of 2004 coming up next week. Oh well, maybe this show was custom made to be broadcast anytime during the Christmas season and not just for Christmas weekend.
Anyway, I really liked this show. It was interesting to hear Christmas music on the radio the day after Christmas, since most stations waste no time going back to regular programming the day after Christmas. Of course, after a month plus of playing nothing but Christmas music, I guess I'd get a little tired of it too.
If there's a regular weekly chart posted on the website this week, I'll post that here too. And hopefully, I'll be able to catch the show next week since I believe that would be the Top 20 of 2004. See ya then.
