Apparently Ray J found her dead, as per CNN. She was at the Beverly Hilton hotel, presumably to attend Clive Davis' party tonight. In a hotel room in LA.

I posted in the Grammy thread awhile ago that Davis said he wants his party canceled and the Grammys canceled due to a horrible event that took place but I thought it was a rumor

Keep hitting my hands together saying *DANG* *DANG* *DANG*
Hope the media gives her her do; after all the criticism over the years, show my girl some love.
She was one of the immortals. The greatest voice of all.

:( I wasn't the biggest fan but still, I'm shocked, didn't see this coming, another testimony of the danger of drugs.

I want a gospel revival to happen all next week. I want a tribute to shut down all tributes. She is very deserving. She helped create the mold that current singers are trying to form themselves over.

I hope the Grammies plan a tribute all of tomorrow. Christina, Mary J, and all the vocal greats could make special appearances tomorrow.

Her life is really one of the most tragic stories in pop music.

Those are the last two who need to be singing a WH song. *remembers Xtina's Run To You* But that's beside the point. I do wonder if they'll put together a last minute tribute. They have to.

I'm now going to be type pissed to see "The Bodyguard" lose its title as the longest running #1. I hope by some miracle it can keep it.

But Whitney sang with Mary J at the '99 VH1 Divas Live and was a good friend of Whitney's. I think she would do a Whitney song justice these days (and it's not like Mary's voice is worse than Whitney's 2009-2012 :( ). Toni Braxton and Jennifer Hudson definitely should be a part of that too. But yes, even if they don't do a singing tribute, a good 5 minute speech would be touching too. :)

I would like to see Chaka Khan, Christina Aguilera, Deborah Cox, Jennifer Hudson, and Mary J. Blige perform a tribute.

My favorite Whitney Houston song is "The Greatest Love of All". One of the few songs I knew the lyrics by heart. It's really sad we never really saw her make a big comeback :(

I remember just balling when I heard the news about Amy Winehouse and Teena Marie and it's no different right now about Whitney, just wow. With the whole Sparkle thing I was assuming things were so much better, but alas this is just a hell of a sad day. May you rest in peace, Whitney... this just seems surreal at the moment really.
