Whip it, Pound The Alarm and Starships are all clones of eachother... Which also means all 3 should smash, but nothing else really feels like a smash, except Va Va Voom!. So:
1. Starships 2. Pound The Alarm 3. Va Va Voom 4. Whip It

I would just be careful with releasing "Pound the Alarm" too soon. It's a bit too similar to "Starships" to be released right after it. (Sort of like how it was smart to let the YDO/TTT/BC fiasco happen before WHYB was released b/c is was so similar to WFL.) How is Whip It not ???

I just realized that the lyrics to this are "higher than a mothafucka" and not "flying in a mothafucka"

I've listened to the pop songs of the CD and Whip It just screams an obvious smash to me and hooked me the same way that Starships did. None of the other songs mentioned really hooked me in the same way that song did.
So I'd say:
1) Starships 2) Whip It 3) Pound The Alarm 4) Automatic
Honestly I'd be fine if she tossed out Pound The Alarm and Whip It in either order and ended it with those two.

"Pound the Alarm" follows "Starships"' pattern almost to a "T" with the way it has the instrumental breakdown right after the chorus that sounds very different from the rest of the song. While "Whip It" is similar, it isn't quite as in-your-face similar as "Pound the Alarm" is. I just realized that the lyrics to this are "higher than a mothafucka" and not "flying in a mothafucka" Do I just have a weird version? It's clearly the explicit version I own ("but fuck who you want and fuck who you like" is left in tact), but that line, in my version at least, is clearly "higher than a mother."

While "Whip It" is similar, it isn't quite as in-your-face similar as "Pound the Alarm" is. I dont think casual listeners would really notice that type of similarity. I mean, how many songs are being played on radio every day that share the same chord progression etc.? I see what you are saying though.

"Starships were meant to fly...we higher than a motherfucka- BOOMASDASDBOOM" "Oh oh oh, come fill my....pound the alarm! BOOMTUTUTUTUBOOM" "hey, stranger over there... whip it whip it whip it- BOOMNANANANABOOM"

I don't get what the issue with Pound the alarm sounding too similar. I mean Starships is a smash and Pound the alarm is different enough to do its own thing.
I wanted whip it but I guess they are going with Pound the alarm so here is my revised list
Pop Starships-Spring 2012 Pound the alarm-Summer 2012 Whip it-Fall 2012 MM because she said winter 2012 VVV spring or summer 2013 Young forever summer or spring 2013 -----
Urban Beez in the trap/Right by my side Spring 2012 I am your leader summer 2012 Champion Fall 2012 Fireburns Winter 2012 Hov lane spring 2013
1.2-1.7M....1.7M enough to certify it 2x platinum...it's a reach but still. summer and fall off new single October 2013 album November 2013

There's a chance there may have been a panel switch, but it's probably just a fluke.

I think "Whip It" is the right choice. "Pound the Alarm" is extremely overrated, However tbqh The Redone tracks on this album all sound the same.
This and "Whip It" are the best ones.
They should skip "Pound the Alarm" all together and I still don't understand why the label went with this instead of "Va Va Voom".

I think it's pretty obvious why they went for this over Va Va Voom

Love pretty much the whole album though minus Roman... "Holiday," "Reloaded," or just the Zolanski persona in general?

I don't care what's next as long as it's either Pound the Alarm or Va Va Voom!! Same here. I think 'Whip It' is the worst song on the pop side of the album, so I really don't want it to be released. I know Nicki said that it will be a single at some point, but I'm hoping things have changed.

I think Va Va Voom is the perfect second single but Nicki rarely mentions it and she isn't even performing it on tour so I think Whip It or Pound The Alarm will be released, and Nicki said Whip It would be released before PTA so. I wonder if the label will try RBMS or BIIT for pop though.
