I think if a song is still gaining when below the top 50, it is not sent to recurrent when it hits 20 weeks. Billboard says that they'll decide on a case by case basis whether or not to continue including songs after 20 weeks, so they might decide to include shake it out if it keeps gaining next week as well.

Wow, I just realized there's a lot of international representation in the top 20 this week. Half the top 20 is composed of acts which are not from the US. - 11 when you count Sia on WO.
Six (seven with Sia) of these are in the top ten. Five of the top 20 songs feature acts from the UK.

I think Stronger's going to become the biggest selling Idol single pretty soon. And even though it's less likely, hopefully it can hit #1 in airplay.

Just curious but I wonder
Since it has been 11 years, when does the phrase 'Kelly Clarkson - American Idol' start to sound dated?

For those who wonder- here is "If I Die Young"'s chart run on the Hot 100:

^Shouldn't the forum automatically break that line?
Anyway, it would be nice if you edited and cut it in half.

Wow Levels by Avicii barely budged and yet it completely fell out of the top 100 on the iTunes chart. Is it really streaming that's keeping it afloat that high??? It's barely getting that much AirPlay... And damn, Cinema just keeps teasing us on the Bubbling Under chart. I saw it reappear in the low 90s a few times on iTunes this week, but I doubt that'll have much effect on the next Hot 100... I wonder what the longest run for a Bubbling Under single is?

I have a feeling RITD will end up the 2nd-longest running single with around 70 weeks. I don't think it will quite challenge Jason Mraz though.
Does anyone see a pattern yet on On-Demand Songs? Sometimes you can tell which genres do better/worse on various types of charts, but it seems like you have tracks from all sorts of genres (except country) doing well.

Thanks for posting the charts, 2m.
Anyone notice that on the Hot 100, Billboard doesn't list Chris Brown on "Birthday Cake" this week? It does for airplay, though.

^If it's getting most of its points from sales of the solo album version that would make sense, maybe?
Wasn't that the deciding factor when the features were on the mixes of TTWE, S&M, etc.?

^ I've notice it. I also peeped this from Hot Digital Tracks:
4 54 46 42 RIHANNA FEAT. CHRIS BROWN BIRTHDAY CAKE 41608 16 35975 205142
or has it always been like that?

Just curious but I wonder Since it has been 11 years, when does the phrase 'Kelly Clarkson - American Idol' start to sound dated? It really does.. it's just not a necessary qualifier. And once she's off contract and doing her own thing (after one more album), its use will be absolutely inexcusable.

Billboard didn't put * next to Glad You Came even though it gained a lot on airplay, was the streaming gainer and dropped only 5% in sales. Surely it got a nice boost in points climbing a spot on chart as well?

Surely it got a nice boost in points climbing a spot on chart as well? Either a.) It was a mistake on their part (most likely) or b.) It gained, but not enough in comparison to other songs to merit a *. (In weeks where a lot of songs have bullets, only the largest ones get a * on the chart. However, looking at some of the other songs with asterisks, I don't think that this was the case this time.)

Yea I find it weird because all other songs in top ten was marked with *, except SFTTR which is naturally dropping.

Billboard did list Chris Brown on the Hot 100 credit the last few weeks, no? It pulled a Ke$ha/"Right Round" on the "esteemed" Mr. Brown.
