This was a single from Sweetback's first album. After Sade's Love Deluxe tour, the members of her band decided to do a side project as the band Sweetback. To date, they've recorded two albums.
This is their sole entry on the R&B chart. It reached #42 in February 1997. I love this song. It's my favorite on the album. They have several really great songs on that album though, including "Gaze" which also features Amel and "Softly Softly" with Maxwell.
